Essentially, the language Obama used that incited this scare, is that he considers end of life care to be wasteful. This is because a high percent of health care money is spent on people at the end of their lives, meaning their last 5 to 10 years. So he has suggested eliminating End of Life care. The suggestion will presumably be interpreted by doctors to mean they should not spend insurance companies money on people who are, in their eyes, not worth saving.
