  • If I were a figure skater, I dont' think I'd want to skate for the "GREAT FALLS" Figure skating club!

  • @firmingitup Aren't you just a CLEVER commentator!!!! I have never heard that statement in 50 years of skating!!! I would vote to replace Tara Lipinki with you on the television coverage!! thanks for the nice laught best wishes

  • @k9henrydog HaHA! Thanks! :-D

  • I thought I read somewhere he has a daughter who skated in the 1990s but I can never find any more about that...

  • @HowDareThey1970 I did not hear that at the time.......but maybe another viewer can remind us....thanks for writing and asking. best wishes

  • @k9henrydog Yes, I am not even sure that is accurate, just something I thought I heard, but cannot verify. maybe some other viewer does know.

  • Its almost like he is bow- legged with the jumps. He was so handsome tho.

  • wow. Amazing!!

  • @boycotttheletterH Glad you found it and liked it....! He was a winner! best wishes

  • Wow, thank you for making this available. I ran across him while doing a genealogy project and it was just a delight to find his performance online this way. What a jumper!

  • Yes, the jumper of all jumpers!! His flying open axel back sit spin was a stunner!!! best wishes

  • It's such a pity he never won a Worlds medal. Either his figures or mistakes in the free always kept him down in the standings. By far the most talented free skater of his era IMO and he was the one who paved the way for Curry and Cranston with his superior musicality and superbly crafted programs. What a shame that there's hardly any footage of him.

  • Yes, but I am sure there are things out there...somewhere. We just have to encourage anyone who can help, to post some things!! Hope your New Year goes spectacularly!! best wishes

  • He was my favorite American skater, and the first male skater whose career I "followed". Like you, I think that it's a pity thar he never received the medals he deserved.

He made his adniration for Cranston, in particular, very clear - and it seems to have been mutual.

I wonder if JMP has a video collection?
