And yes, I never saw him as evil in season 1. He was the cocky sherriff and the business man. Season 2 he's the cocky sexy sherriff, soulful, tormented, loyal friend and falling for a human girl. Season 3 he's just all of the above and a whole lot more... just wow! What a character!! And ASkars brings it everytime!!!

@enorth74 I don't think True Blood would be much more than a very good Vamp Soap without Eric... with Eric/Alex, it's drama! The first season I thought he stole the series with his few on camera scenes... he was amazingly bigger than life in wowing sexual way. He was aloof and mysterious... and he has just gotten sexier over the remaining episodes... I think he is the heart of the show! I can't shut up... *jerking hands off the keyboard!*

@MsAKSfan I have the same view :) TB would be over after 3 seasons really! I had no interest in TB at all, it was just a distraction nothing more... that is, until Eric came on screen!!! I wait every minute for his scenes :D I didn't even know who this actor was, but totally fell for him and his character. He IS Eric Northman! You really believe in the characters he plays! He was the one that got me into the books, I just needed more Eric, and of course I see his face while I read ;)

@enorth74 I Accidently came on TB, it was pretty good... like some of the other series I get interested in without commercials and with adult content... I'm not 13... (luved Rome) LOL But I remember vividly the scene with Eric... when he came into the scene, I said to myself, "well, look at you!"... when he opened his mouth and began to speak... I nearly fell off the sofa trying to get up to get a better look at the man! From then on... I was hooked... not to TB, but Eric Northman! LOL
