Nationalists and unionists now both have particpation in government and people of different backgrounds are being represented, these riots to me just seemed like an excuse for a lot of bored and unemployed and uneducated individuals to cause some trouble. Besides, in contrast to the way matters used to be, if the war is not over it certainly is nowhere near as bad as it once was.

I respect that police brutality is a reality that many people here have to struggle with, however, drowning your own community in flames and violence and giving police more reason to enforce harsh measures seems like a counterproductive way of gaining victory over the corrupt constabulary. However, I do agree that there are a number of MLAs who are certainly out of touch with the needs of the people, but I still see politics as the way forward.
