These 4 officers were actually cleared of charges. Supposedly they received permission from commanders to requisition items that other on-duty officers needed like shoes and shirts. They did receive 10 day suspensions for failure to stop the other people seen that were obviously looting. Very, very strange situation in my opinion however. Did the commanders tell them to go to the WalMart and takes clothes but NOT arrest anyone? Very very suspicious if you ask me but I wasn't there so....

These 4 officers were actually cleared of charges. Supposedly they received permission from commanders to requisition items that other on-duty officers needed like shoes and shirts. They did receive 10 day suspensions for failure to stop the other people seen that were obviously looting. Very, very strange situation in my opinion however. Did the commanders tell them to go to the WalMart and takes clothes but NOT arrest anyone? Very very suspicious if you ask me but I wasn't there so....

At that point did it really matter, people had lost everything and had nothing...so so what....if your taking shoes, clothes, food.... now what the hell you was gone do with tv's, vcr's, dvd's...etc..idk...but was walmart going to sell it....no....And for people that think Katrina was funny....you never know truly what it feels like until you lived through hell on earth.
