I think I was too young to ever understand this show. But then Will&Grace aired and it lasted for eight years, so.... Yay, Will&Grace! But, this show is so good. [Not better than W&G] But all in all, Will&Grace lasted eight years- PROVING that it is better. And there was a reason behind Will&Grace. All the networks aired shows with couples. The writers of Will&Grace wanted something different. I mean, if you were gay, how would you feel watching straight people all the time?
OMG! I so agree with you! I mean, Gay people would feel so offended if it was only straight couples. So Will and Grace came along, and It was sending a clear message that, there are other kinds of people out there. I so understand. But Ned and Stacey was also good. I like Will and Grace just as much as Ned and Stacey.
I completely disagree with the reasoning that since "Will and Grace" lasted longer it was a better show. i.e. "freaks and geeks" had a shorter life than "homeboys in outer space", but most would agree it was a better show. It's subjective, so there really is no 'right' answer, but for me "Ned & Stacey" will always be the better of the 2 shows because the humor wasn't always as forthright, it was more offbeat. Will and Grace was always 'over the top' so after a couple seasons I lost interest.
Ned and Stacy wsa the best show. I used to love it and they had such great chemistry. I truly believe if it had been on one of the major networks that Debra Messing would've become famous for this instead of Will and Grace.
i agree firmingitup. It's funny because I felt her character in Will and Grace got more annoying and neurotic (it was probably supposed to) as the seasons went on, but here I liked her balance with Thomas Hayden Church.
Most actors only get one good sitcom in their careers anyway, both of these leads had 2 (THC also had "Wings), so in the end it all worked out.
Im happy now.
When a show makes you happy it means its GREAT!!!
