Lain AMV - The Shadow of Cells

I was thinking about this series recently was struck at how advanced it was for its time. Lain was released 1998 when the internet was just starting to have an impact on real life culture (beyond email from the early 90's). The timing and themes explored in this series are still relevant today to an internet many times huger than 1998. If we knew how progressive and forward-thinking this anime would turn out to be back then, it might've been heralded as one of the best anime series ever.

yeah, death note was the first psychological anime I watched, then i saw things like elfen lied, lain, NGE... Death note is good, those shows are crazy psychologically immersive

DN was a great anime and a good psychological show but SE Lain set the bar that (IMO) has only been reached by Neon Genesis Evangelion in terms of "WTF-ness".

Still SE Lain is my all time favorite anime and it will stay that way.

I don't use Vegas, I use Premiere, but using two clips at the same time is pretty basic.

You just place one video clip above another in a new video line and then adjust the opacity of the one on top so that the one below it can show through.
