Mije, what´s the best connection in your opinion??? the last one on this video where the maxxlink conrols everything or the one on the other video where you strapped the amplifier using the jumper between the - of the brutus?
@twingo16V If you are linking a pair of amplifiers with the Maxxlink, you will always have a jumper from amp 1 negative speaker terminal to amp 2 negative speaker terminal. Whether you link or run independently is based on your impedance. What subs and amps are you working with?
@MaxxsonicsUSAInc oh ok, just wanted to know the best way and more effective to strapp them, i have 2 hifonics 2610D like the video and the maxxlink, i´m actually considering not using the maxxlink and save it to my other car, is there any big difference between linking the brutus by theirself than strapping them with the maxxlink??? i have about 1.5v coming from the head unit...
@MaxxsonicsUSAInc Nice to know that mike, and last question would be using the boost, in my case wich is the same than the video, would be better using the boost on the amplifier or the boost on the maxxlink?
@twingo16V It is better to use the boost on the amplifier so that the amount is even for the multiple amps. If you use the Bass EQ on each individual amp you run the risk of setting them differently.
The connection you did @ 0:45 to 1:40 was understandable, but why not use the positive and negative output terminals instead of the two positive outputs A and B when making connections to the two mono amps? When you were done hooking up the maxxlink between 0:45 and 1:40 you didn't say if adjustments would have to be made from the two mono amps or the maxxlink.
You can't use the positive and negative outputs to a single mono amp because they are opposite phase, NOT left and right. The opposite phases cancel out and provide no output and potential damage to your Maxxlink, Amp and sub. I explain the adjustments in Tutorial 1 as indicated. This tutorial was showing wiring of non linkable amps and then using 2 amps in slave with no adjustments required.
i want to run 4 type r 12s dual 2 ohm with 2 amps should i wire them this way (individual loads) or like in the first vid (as one load) what is a safe impedance? i know 2 2ohm subs are a 2ohm load and 4 would be a 1ohm load but if they were 2 different loads i would have 2 independant 2ohm load for each amp what should i do about wiring
Question..I am going to power a single solo x 18 in my single cab ranger I curently own a brutus 2600 @ 1 ohm, if I purchase a dual 2 ohm solox and later decide to link 2 amplifiers in master/slave config will the ohm load allow me to use these 2 amplifiers in master/slave or would I be better off just getting a Goliath amplifier and bridging to a 1 ohm load?

@twingo16V In tests over the years using a Termlab meter, on average guys saw .2-.5dB gain when using the Maxxlink to strap their amps.

i just need to be clear... the maxxlink wont
work with 2 non strappable dual mono block amps?
txmaxt 1 year ago
@txmaxt Correct, you can not link 2 channel amplifiers.

Would using an audiocontrol epicenter b a good idea to use wit this unit? And y or y not? Also external active xover and this unit?

I have a xx and xxv colossus can I use this maxxlink to link them both, or if I need identical amps how do I do it, since they are dual mono blocks

You can not link 2 channel amplifiers. Also, the Maxxlink can only be used to link identical mono amplifiers.

Is it necessary to use a epicenter for bass just incase the low notes can't be picked up? Or the maxxlink already comes with that setting.
originalshotta357 1 year ago
The epicenter allows for enhancement of frequencies in small bands. You can still use the Epicenter, but prior to the Maxxlink.

The 2600 is stable to 1 Ohm per or 2 Ohms linked. You would be better off with a single 1 Ohm stable amplifier since your sub is DVC 2 Ohms.
MaxxsonicsUSAInc 2 years ago
No, I have instructed you properly. If you feed opposite polarity to a mono amp you will have no output or very little output due to cancelation.

Can you use Y Adapters on A+,B+,C+,D+,E+ and run 5 amps independently?
Andrew2944r 2 years ago
Yes.
MaxxsonicsUSAInc 2 years ago
At 2:12 this type of hookup will work for any amp?
Andrew2944r 2 years ago
No, I specify that this will ONLY work with MONO amps that have the Master/Slave option.
