We have a small specialty store here in Oklahoma. The only strange thing is the African Pygmy Hedgehog that I purchased for 200.00 dollars. Animals are kept in small banks in the wall and we don't have basilisks or hairless rats.
In Ireland we have all sorts of exotic animals from meerkats to kookoo burros to lemurs its amazing i have 2 pet african pygmy hedgehogs and unlike the u.s you dont need licence to own animals here pretty cool.
my petstore isn't the biggest one ever but it a pretty good size and they always have tons of stuff like cockatoo's,cockatiels, zebra finches, hermit crabs, lizards, snakes, hamsters, mice, rats, guinea pigs, ferrets, fish, and they once had a red ear slider turtle and last week they had a lion fish and a stingray!
they over charge where you live i live in new york city and i can get a regular anole for $4 and a big rat for about &5 and less but that pet shop has a wide variety of stuff we dont have here
all my pet store were i am suck if a pet store like your came out you thay will take all the customer from the pet store here the only big pet store i have is 1 petco and 1 petsmart but your pet store has more then both of them
In Maine there aren't that many cool reptiles, but we have skunks at some pet stores! Not many snakes, turtles, or tortoises are legal. I don't see many macaw's either ;p
England you haft to go to a reptile house for reptile you carnt feed live food to snakes and there's limited lizards and snakes and you carnt buy herless rats in enland and no pets are over
@ratboy8z6 Thats not true - I live in england too, I know plenty of places that sell reptiles that aren't 'your average' reptiles, I also know of people that breed hairless rats, but you won't find them in pet shops because they won't sell as well as rats with fur, most animals can be bought from breeders - and thats the way it should be, not from pet shops!
@diegocrame lol, I just watched this again I totally do say umm a lot. O well I got better I think. Part of it had to do with recording the audio after I took the video.
Yah I want a hairless guinea pig they are cute yah ill look into a rescue I actaully found this lady of craigslist and she has free guinea pigs they are tricolor and a few months old so may get one not sure yet
Equal in prices overall. But I must say the reptiles look alot healthier than most shops. Your shop is not doing half bad. The Basalik that is unhealthy looking may have been shipped in that condition.
The guy who runs the reptile portion who also seems to be the owner, is very knowladgable. He seemed very impressed that I managed to get mossy frog. The basilsk looked better about a week ago but it might be detiriating. I honestly love this store, my only problem is that their crickets are a little over priced.
I live in England and because its Essex, and beleive me, Essex is reptile crazy lol, I have about 3 local reptile shop. The one biggest shop used to sell rabbits and all kinds of mammals, but alot of the aquatics and other animals were dying, so they sshut down the other half (mammals and aquatics) and their slowly getting better. But most of the reptiles in there are the same lineup really. its weird, because over here most people dont care about keeping leos on sand except for the select few.
Lucky, when I went to England I stayed in Wolverhampton with relatives, their werent any reptile stores :(. If I go back I'll deff have to check out Essex and find cool stuff.
If you do go back just dont go to the chavvy parts, their just horrible, but im pretty close to the beach and the parks here so its cool, the ones id reccomend are Westcliff reptile centre and Scales and Fangs, but theres also smooth and Scaly.
Oh yah hairless rats are cute I really want a hairless guinea pig they are so cute! But none of the pet shops sell them and online the prices arent to bad but what is expensive is the shipping you are looking to spend well over $200...
Yeah, I like skinny guinea pigs too, you might be able to find one at a rescue, their are actually a lot of guinea pig rescues if you look for them :)
Nice shop and there prices didnt seem to bad! I have to say I got ghoosebumps I am not a fan of SPIDERS and when I saw the pink toe I had to forward the vid a bit...lol...When I used to have a bunny I would have to go 20mins away to a mall which is in a different city since in san francisco they dont sell bunnies cause poeple let them go in the park and as you know they can have TONS of babies and of course at teh shop the bunnies are like $50 they are flop ears my fav :)
Our closest pet store is very small and operated by one woman who works 7 days a week to keep it running. For some odd reason she sells a million bunnies - every time I go there she has a new lot of bunnies and they all sell! I get all my herps there unless they are rescues and her stock changes quite often. Not too many hamsters tho! She breeds snakes too so we always have a long chat when I pop in and she gives me good deals on used aquariums which I seem to need constantly. Fun video!
The only pet store I have been too is tropiquarium which has so many fish, salt and fresh water, that are huge and awesome and some very expensive. They sell stuff for other animals but are all fish.. I haven't been to any reptile stores, but I do know of one.
I have 2 pet stores. One stinks really bad and everything is not really taking care of good the other one is over priced and all the of the lizards are ussally housed together so lots of stress lots of sicks ones and the 2 employes are usless.
Petstores where i live are COMPLETELY different. Not one petstore in the country sells dogs or cats and there are only about 3 that sell reptiles etc. There are a few which sell rabbits, hamsters, gerbils, birds etc but most sell only fish, maybe hamsters and then just food and stuff for dogs and cats.
Some privatly owned pet stores sell puppys but not many, their were a few cats for sale but I didnt film them in this store. There are also lots of pet stores that sell 0 animals and only supplys.
Their animals looked really clean and everything, except maybe the brown baslisk lol. But I don't know anything about them... I loved the kingsnakes :D Were people staring at you because you had a camera?? :P
I have the same animals, you have here in your store but in your store they look more healthy than animals in Egypt's stores, the most successful animal store here is "Egypt reptile house store"

way way bigger than mine! my store has corn snakes, ball pythons, leopard geckos, emerald swifts, green anoles, crested geckos, whites tree frogs, golden geckos, skunk geckos, iguanas and yea.

I think people get crazy with pets. Rats, Lizards, Geckos, Snakes? Only Dog, cat, fish, birds and rabbits should be kept. Other should go in the wild
