Wow this is a real 'blast from the past'. My guess would be early 70's. I remember kata being done like this. It's good to know that Mick Randall is still active and enjoying his karate. I think we need to acknowledge the efforts of more people like him to popularise karate, instead of always kow towing to the Japanese.
This is a good educational video overall.However, the timing of the movements and the attacks/blocks in the first demonstration is not perfect. Heian sandan at speed section is a better reference for timing. A lot can be learned from the application part.
