  • 500 yards in the wind, yeah right

  • nice shot !!

  • Jesus, why dont all the gung ho wk end marines shut the cake holes on their faces. The guy "isn't " a marine and doesnt claim to be. Just an ordinary guy who enjoys a bit of shooting and you can say what you like.... it WAS a good single shot all you dumb ass William tells! Not everyone is a marine and wars weren't won by marines alone. I respect and admire the Marines for what it counts, but give the guy a break

  • 500 meters equals 546 yards

  • 1yard = ?meters?

  • @vladvlad24 1 yard = 3ft. 1 meter = 3 feet, 3 inches. So 1 yard = 0.9144 meters

  • MARINE CORPS FTW!!!!!!! We shoot 500 on our easy days... Hell I can hit V Ring all day long at 500 with Irons. Bet me.

  • We get it. The marines shoot at 500 yards regularly. And frankly, I don't care. I respect the shot this guy made. You can all shut the fuck up now....

  • With my XM-ES2, I was able to hit a steel target at 400yds. has AR-22 3rd gen. scope. Bushmaster is reliable and accurate.

  • Marine train at 500 yards with iron sights and I even saw our instructor shoot in the standing at 500 yard and hitting in the legs of a 6 foot target. Good shot though for wolf ammo!

  • Can you take "Miracle Shot" out of this, a lot of us make these shots all day with iron sights.

  • it does not say but it looks like a 1x red dot sight , which if so that is beyond amazing , heck how can you even see anything , maybe 4x , but they say that platform is one of the best going for long range as all the miltary research improvements and such but wolf ammo is known to be well cheap and those optics do not look up to task so yes I say thats amazing, the instructor there well maybe with good eyes and great trigger etc , but either way thats very very good and bushmaster is HQ

  • Have you gained any wieght since you made this video?

  • There's a video of a guy hitting 4 consecutive targets at 500 yard with a 10.5inch barrel AR-15 and no optic.

    You just suck at shooting.

  • Yeah, former Marine here. We nailed 500 yd shots on iron sights all day long. Yawn...

  • @critterCQB

For you, I recommend the following challenge.

Go grab a m1903 and see if you can hit something at 800 yards with rear elevation sight on it.

  • @WunderDoob

First, I have no access to a 1903. Not readily at least. Second, I have yet to find a qualified range over 700yds here in MD. Trust me, I've got a 7Mag that needs exercise.

But if it makes ya feel good, we smacked a few "facers" @ 800yds on M16/irons. Ohhhhh those were fun times.

  • EPIC FAIL. This video sucks as hard as you blow your own father. The only miracle here is what a FAT GELATINOUS POSING TOOLBAG you are. My 8 year old daughter does this but then of course I have her shooting real equipment not that imitation shit.......PONED. Buy some real optics, quit pretending you are Jesus Christ the gunslinger and lose some weight....... like 200 pounds loser

  • Fail the Marines do this alllllll daaayyyy looonnggg

  • dude my dad in the Marine Corps shot 500 yards in the poring down rain with iron sights and shot 5 bullets in 1 hole he out shot his DI and all his platune he is an expert twice in the Marine Corps

  • dude my dad in the marine corps shot 500 yards in the poring down rain with iron sights and shot 5 bullets in 1 hole he out shot his DI and all his platune .

  • I can't believe all these guys say they shoot 500 yards open sights, and marines don't use open sights for shots like that.

  • @mcrafton89 We have for decades, it's part of our annual qualification. 10 shots at 500 yards. Only in the past 5 years did the Marine Corps switch to the ACOG as standard issue. But I can tell you that a lot of units still haven't received funding to upgrade to A4s with ACOGs. Mine still has POS A2s to qual with and we shoot them at 500 yards with Irons.

  • @mcrafton89 i did in bootcamp buddy

  • I'm an instructor with the Appleseed Project, and I will say that is a nice shot. I do shoot up to 600 yards on a 16 inch barrelled AR15 w/ 55 grain Federal on a regular basis. Nice shot, and I invite all of you to come out to an Appleseed in your area where we can teach you to do this all day! :) Great instruction, and very inexpensive. appleseed info (you know what to put in front and after)

    Nice Shooting!

  • I was hitting this with Iron Sights for 8 years as a Marine.... just sayin. semper fi.

  • thats a 16inch barrel? give the guy some credit... nice shot bro

  • For the record guys I called it a miracle shot because it was first shot on a cold bore... literally the first shot of the day. Maybe easy for some folks but with the wind andother factors I was happy with it

  • next time guy checks target down range, move gun off range ..

  • @mycaddigo its a berm/counterweight range when he's checking the target he is underground

  • Nice shot!

  • I love how people bash this video. It might not be a "miracle" shot but it's still a good shot with a fair amount of luck considering the ammo, wind, and range.

If none of you have a video showing you actually did what you're claiming to have done then you have nothing to bash this guy on. He might not have done it more than once but he has proof he did it. You all, apparently, don't.

It was a good and lucky shot but I want to see the 10 shot group from that day.

  • @kellyash45 im suprised his windage was so on and for first shot amazing, but not suprised at all he hit it. ar15 is so accurate. I have a much a 20 inch on mine and can hit a square foot target off hand all day long at 200 yards, so not suprised with bipod and lying prone at 500. But never tried it.

  • you're a douche bag, it's not that hard and especially not a "miracle shot." And don't ever say rodger on the mic again unless you actually were in the military. It's not cool to be tacti-cool.

  • I'd say that's a typical shot. Impossible would be that rifle shooting a target that's over a mile away.

  • good shooting and nice video! One question.......what kind of bipod do you have it installed? thanks =)

  • The Marines train at 500 yard targets that are 18inches accross. I was able to hold a 7in group in 1980 with a A-1 M-16 with old lighter bullets and slower rifling. No scope or any other sights other than old style that you need a bullet or nail to ajust.

The Army , navy and airforce train out to 300 yards. nice shot but an all day thing for a well trained shooter.

  • i live in tulsa... i wanna go to red castle

  • Nice shot. However I must agree with hamsterhamz. In Marine boot camp we learned to fire with iron sites only at ranges of 200, 300, and 500 yards. Including standing slow-fire, and kneeling rapid-fire from the 500 yard mark.

  • @saltydog0069 Agreed. With a bipod and a scope, I'm not sure it's much of a miracle. I was in the marines, shot expert, and I don't think I'm that good of a shot.

  • Damn wind

  • A miracle shot would be distanced between effective and maximum range.

  • hey does your front sight get in the way of your scope? and what power scope is it? thanks!

  • hey does your front sight get in the way of your scope?

  • dam thats crazy good

  • its not 500 yeads

  • man that sounds like a sick range hearin the full auto goin off... I'm from canada we aren't allowed to have fun like that...

  • whats the scope???

  • My ar15 is similar...

  • o i dont know about miracle i use alot od brown bear and tula ammo lol and we do the 3 and 400 yrd easy with a 9x scope. but i shoot it alot lol.....

  • i hit a 13x13 plate 3 out 0f 5 times shooting uphill with a breeze. but i was shooting a 30-06 but it only had a 21 inch barrel and i was using cheap remington walmart ammo

  • Comment removed

  • i mean i where u was is

  • well for Wolf ammo YES thats a fucking miracle.

  • How much was your scope?

  • you in the army or just doing it for fun?

  • I hit 14 out of 15 rounds on a steel target at Ft Gordon two weeks ago with my STAG 15 with an EOTECH. I went high with the first round. The rest were on target.

  • I've seen people hit targets with an AR-15 up to 900 yards, so I wouldn't that that is a miracle shot...but then again there may be some variables i dont know about

  • dude not trying so be an asshole but you have a scope 500 yrds isnt that great deff not miracle shot the army shoots at 300 with no scope just iron sight

  • @frw420

What makes it a more difficult shot is the substantial drop and loss in momentum the bullet experiences at ranges past 300 yards which increases exponentially for every hundred yards. At 300 yards it is already dropping ~10 inches, that is why that is all the farther we shoot for qualifying.

  • @10mmTroy where did you get this info? I've fired older M-16A1 as well as the newer versions M-16A2 thru A4 in the Corps. With the older M-16A1 once you had your BZO point of aim was point of impact at 300 yards. In a nut shell (mind you this was with the older M-16A1) we were taught at 200 yards point of aim was 6'oclock to hit center mass. 300 yards was center mass for center mass hit (point of aim point of impact). At 500 yards you aim was at head and shoulders to hit center mass.

  • @Jade10131980

You can look up all kinds of .223 & 5.56mm loads, their trajectories etc online.

  • @frw420 yeah and the marine corps trains with the M16 out to 5-600 yards as normal training...

  • What range is this? Looks familiar, great shooting man

  • @Mark37251 Red Castle Gun Club, Skiatook Oklahoma

  • @okfirearms ah ok thanks. im in jersey, unfortunately i cant find any ranges more than 300 yards :/

  • I use my military m4 with a 14.5" barrel and back up iron sights to engage targets as 600+ meters...

  • @blondetaurus

In call of duty ya do......

  • thats nothing marines shoot human sized targets at 500 yards with iron sights

  • @hamsterhamz is he a marine who has been training? No.

  • @nicktimseamus Your right he isn't but miracle shot is still a bit much.

  • @hamsterhamz im guessing since your name has both an animal and a food, your 10-13. so you dont know what marines do.

  • @hamsterhamz Yeah, with quality ammo and m16 length barrels...

  • @hamsterhamz I shot a half meter ball at 300 yards with iron sights once :D got nearly bullseye every go

  • @hamsterhamz Marines shoot torso sizes targets @ 500M open sights. Not human sized targets.

  • @hamsterhamz 550 yards, actually 500 meters. Metruc known distance.

  • Nice shot! 1 click to the right for windage, and 1 or 2 up on elevation, and the next show would be even better, if not perfect.

Did you know the USMC train all it Marines to shoot an M-16 at a human target 500 yds away with iron sights and no scopes?

  • Horse Shit!

  • Horse Shit!

  • sweetness. LoL

  • Glad you liked it!

  • another great vid can you do a little review on your ar

  • Sure, we'll do it first thing in January.

  • 500 yrds is good shooting no one can deny but an AR has a good 500 yrds effective range anyways. Good video thanks for sharing

  • It was a hell of a shot for me, especially with that scope and ammo. Just a bit of luck, I suppose. I consistently hit steel on the reactive range at 400 yards with that setup, but the 500 yard steel is difficult to engage in any kind of consistent pattern--I think a lot of the kinetic energy of the .223/5.56 round has been expended at that range and might not be enough to knock down the 35 pound steel frames.

Next time we're going to try and push the envelope with a 750 yard shot, handload.

  • @okfirearms

With a good handload and that 1:9 twist you shouldnt have too much trouble hitting the mark at 700 on a still day. What kind of scope are you using?

  • Sweet!

Where at in Oklahoma is this range?

  • The Red Castle Gun Club is located on ZinK Ranch near Skiatook, OK. Do a Google search for "Red Castle Gun Club Tulsa" for more information.

  • 2:33 arrrr who needs accuracy

  • Yeah, somebody was spraying an Uzi up on the plinking range. Good times.

  • Sure, go ahead!

  • WOoow That was raw as hell you are the shit, that was a GREAT shot. Also thanks for taking the time an making this :) Faved

  • No problem, glad you liked it. I appreciate the vid request.

  • Very good shot for 5.56! esp cheap ammo!

  • Thanks, I still can't believe it . . . very true about the Wolf crap.

  • Just a cheap little NcSTAR® 3 - 9x42mm mildot scope, retail $72.

  • @okfirearms - I have the same thing on my SIG556. It works great as long as I remember to turn off the optic lol. And I might remove the lense covers because they do not have a tight seal

  • Yeah, I always run the battery out. Easy to forget! I hate those stupid flip up covers too . . .

  • Just wondering what is the best ammo i could use for my AR-15?

  • What setup do you have?

  • Ive got the same thing as you. Bushmaster ar-15 stock i am also looking for any upgrade parts?

  • I would stick to any Lake City stuff you can find if you want consistency and good reloading brass. Wolf for plinking, but be prepared for a lot of cleaning afterwards.

Upgrades: Get a decent rail, Knights Armament or something comparable--maybe a SOPMOD stock from LM&T, a decent Harris bipod, and an Eotech holosight with magnifier. That's my current wishlist, anyway.

  • haha whenever i win the lottery i will buy me some of that stuff... I am 14 right now and its winter so mowing lawns aint gonna cut it lol.. I havnt seen you at the range latley hope to see you there!

  • really cool video

  • Thanks brotha!

  • Nice shooting!

  • Thanks! Gotta love the AR platform--it has a way of suprising you, usually in a good way.

  • ahhhhhhhhh u left ur rifle behind :(

  • We had the sniper silhouette range pretty much to ourselves . . . no danger there.

  • ffffeeeeew :)

    i got a little scared....

  • Nicely done, that's just awesome! You pulled that with WOLF ammo??

  • Yes, literally the worst stuff in my ammo dump--steel cased .223 Wolf FMJ. It's been collecting dust in the basement for 3 years, so I figured it would be a real test of the rifle/scope combo to try a 500 yard shot with less than optimal ammo. I was definitely suprised!

  • Very impressive indeed! Great shot

  • I honestly didn't believe it till I saw the paper. At that range, unbelievable for the 5.56/.223 round.

  • I've seen the 5.56 shot at 700 yards (I believe it was 700 I'll look it up later to make sure), but the guy who was doing it is a professional sniper (Pittsburgh PD SWAT sniper to be exact) and he pulled it out of his ass with a 10" barrel, 3 shots fired, 3 shots hit. Still watching a civilian such as yourself, who pays for your own ammo, equipment, etc, AND probably without the training that guy had, as well as that SHIT ammo you used? Fan-fuckin-tastic!

  • Wow, a 700 yard shot is impressive with any rifle, let alone an SBR. I may have to give that one a whirl once I finish the M92 and Mk 18 SBR builds, although I doubt I'll ever be on par with any SWAT sniper's accuracy. One can only hope. ;-)

  • that is a NICE ass shot

  • Thanks! I had to check it for myself to be sure--at that distance the reticle completely covered the target so it was truly a miracle shot.
