  • Dude that's not a blue arowana.....are you stupid....

  • @amesdavid09

black arowana is just a common name and so is blue.....

  • thats ablack arowana.

  • There is no such thing as a blue arowana. They are just blacks with another name. When they are young ( under 10'') they have a nice blue on them, thats where the name comes from.

  • @redoscar21 there is a such thing about blue aros look them up

  • @ceewah Actually it is either blue or black

  • @ceewah blue and black are the same

  • very nice

  • Whoa! the small pleco didn't get eaten? And are you sure its blue? How did they get blue, I only see before black ones.

  • this is black arowana.. not blue arowana ok....hahaha

  • this is Black arowana

and btw there is no blue arowana fish.

  • yes there is i have seen one at my local fish store the tail is blue hence the name blue arowana

  • blue/purple tails = black arowana

there is no such thing as a blue arowana

unless its called an eletric xb [which is blue]

  • yea there is.. i just saw one at animalkingdom in newyork

  • do your research before commenting. Blue arowanas are the adult of black arowana. When they are young, they are called black, as they grow up, with proper care and lighting, the blue color will develope.

  • Is a beauty! Hope i'll get one somedays.

  • This is a Blue/Black arowana. a Blue/Black silver kind of arowana not a asian arowana he/she isnt lieing

  • its mostly i guees neon light

  • nice black/blue aro. i have both the silvers and black/blues in the same tank so i know the difference.

  • Whats done is done and said. You do have a really nice Silver Arowana by the way. Nice Vid.

  • The black arowana THAT YOU GUYS CLAIM it is, here's the answer BLACK AROWANA - fully black body base, with a white line through the body, these are only rare in the Amazon (Rio Negro). If you have further questions speak to my buddy MARLO, type his name in the search field he's an expert!

  • actually they are only like that as a baby and when matured they get the true silver body and black/nlue fins

  • I have a full book on arowanas, from asian to the deep south. Silver Dragons come in 3 different colors which is still under the name of Silver Arowana.(red-fins and scales) (black-fins and dark bluish scale) they are only COLORS of the Scales. It is still called a SILVER AROWANA.

  • Silver arowanas

This, the Osteoglossum bicirrhosum, is the most common. It is imported from its native South America, but is also farmed in the Far East for the aquarium trade.

  • This species is not only shorter than the Silver arowana, but its body depth is less. The mouth (bottom jaw) in adults is almost vertical compared to the Silver.

  • Its closest relative is the slightly smaller Black arowana, O. ferreirai. It also originates from the Amazon and its tributaries. However, it is said to be at its most plentiful in the

Rio Negro. This stretch of river is of a more acidic constitution, which possibly favours this beautiful fish.

  • i went to a pet shop the other day...and ask for an arowana...yep its blue arowana AKA black arowana...it sounds stupid but they named it that way here in the states.

  • UR A LIAR!!!!!!

  • where did you get this one at and how much did you pay?motherfucker looks bad as hell!

  • its a wild cought one

  • AMAZINGNESS!

  • There is NO such thing as a Blue Arowana unless that's an Asian Arowana. Look, you can call it whatever you want on the invoice, show me the scientific name that says Blue Arowana. I rest my case.

  • thats a Blue or Black arowana you dumb dumb i rest my case

  • The title says Blue Arowana. Maybe they don't teach English where you live or you don't fully understand it. There is no such thing as a Blue Arowana. Show proof of that. Blue and Black are not the same colors dip chit

  • And if the title says Purple Dragonfish then thats what it is right? Black and Blue are both aliases for the same fish. The black comes from the fin color and the blue from the sheen on its scales (as opposed to silver). The "Blue" arowana your talking about is the blue based x-back, which is an asian arowana. but even then its not totally blue.

  • I agree only there's one small problem. That is NOT an Asian Arowana. That is a south american. Look at the fins.

  • I should clarify. There's a black/blue South American arowana (Osteoglossum ferreirai) and a blue based Asian Arowana (Scleropages formosus).

  • I got to small silver arowanas for $60 dollars in long beach

  • Love the aro but that is a black aro not a blue

  • a black aro IS a blue aro. they have 2 different names for importing.

  • yeah your right

  • blue and black are the same just different names

  • OK thanks

  • plz tell me where i can get one of these....verry nice

  • This is not a Blue Arowana.

  • hello! :D how big are your tank? Very nice arowana! :D :D

  • how big is the tank?? nice aro
