dude even i knew who the song was about...look in the freakin music video they are walking around looking at artifacts about franz lizst...he was such a gifte composer...love his work..sinceres tricia treasonX_X
Why are the vocals on every track so fucking samey.
It's a shame because each individual song is pretty inoffensive indie pop that's nice to listen to, but when you listen to the album as a whole, you get the same vocal hooks in every song.
the song has no meaning.... the words in the song are not meant to be poetry but instead a another instrument. the way the words sound mixed with the tune of the song and the singer's ability to sing make it amazing.
Expliquez-moi! ;-p

this song is based on the famous 16th century piano composer franz liszt, who was said to bring the audience to their feet each time he played, especially women who went crazed with his music. basically, you could call him a one-man 16th century "The Beatles". german romantic literary figure Heinrich Heine coined liztomania for this reason, which would be then used in ken russel's film by the same term. its a pretty smart title to put in a song talking about fan mass in rock concerts.
@xXBlueSpitFireXx franz liszt was really popular in his time and he had crazy concerts where women would go crazy. this was called "lisztomania". it means craziness and really famous. keep in mind that screaming women weren't common in in the 1880s. @PeaceLuvErin is right
@xXBlueSpitFireXx No, its about Lisztomania, a intense or hysterical feeling towards a popular figure. Have you ever head of 'Bieber fever'? That's what Lisztomania is basically.
@tohruyukisprincess google search the title..its the title of a film, called Lisztomania, which basically about a famous guy who played piano, and he gave cocerts that were really crazy "like a riot" so, its just talking about rockstars and priveliged people
@PeaceLuvErin Its more than that... He says.. ok.. gentleman... yes you have been through stuff.. u have money.. gentleman, you're with the rich.. now what?... are u really.. interested in wealth or are you really interested in your life? l ol:) it also, explains the Disgustingness of fake love lol PeacE! ;!)
Lisztomania or Liszt fever is a term used to describe the intense fan frenzy directed toward Franz Liszt during his performances. This frenzy first occurred in Berlin in 1841 and was later coined by Heinrich Heine in a feuilleton he wrote on April 25, 1844, discussing the 1844 Parisian concert season. The word is a portmanteau of "Liszt" and "mania". Lisztomania was characterized by intense levels of hysteria demonstrated by fans.
@tohruyukisprincess I actually, think it might be about the world, and how it's supposed to be according to the media/hollywood/etc. I may be wrong, though. xD
@tohruyukisprincess In my opinion this song has nothing to do with a breakup. Lisztomania is a term used for Franz Liszt and the crowds response to his performances. The song talks about fame and how it's gained and lost quickly with the constant changing public opinion. It's talking about how fame can come and go, and how to deal with both. It seems that the person in the lyrics gained the fame, and after losing it he questions how it could have been different and feels very sentimental over it
@tohruyukisprincess This song is about the "mania" and life style of Austrian/German composer Franz Liszt. By mania I mean, the obsession. For example "beatlemania".

:) maybe that helps.
