This reminds me of when I used to work at a naval base for the MoD years ago... around Christmas they got a 'suspicious package' that smelled of marzipan (it's one of the 'key characteristics of a bomb' in security checklists for such things, as some explosives have an almond-y smell, apparently.) Panic ensued; the whole building was evacuated, bomb squad called out and a remote-controlled robot used to perform a controlled explosion on the package. Which turned out to be... a Christmas cake!
