This is very enjoyable! Gene Krupa was an amazingly gifted artist and he obviously had an ear for good sounding lady vocalists. I knew about Anita O'Day, Irene Daye and Carolyn Grey but this angel is new to me. I will learn more about her. Thanks for educating me with this excellent post!
The dying days of a great band. Eldridge is a bit over the top here, Krupa's drumming had declined noticeably from 46-47. The chart is by George Williams. This is from a Victor album near the end of his touring band days. I love Krupa, but I prefer 45-47 as his apex.
