  • This is very enjoyable! Gene Krupa was an amazingly gifted artist and he obviously had an ear for good sounding lady vocalists. I knew about Anita O'Day, Irene Daye and Carolyn Grey but this angel is new to me. I will learn more about her. Thanks for educating me with this excellent post!

  • The dying days of a great band. Eldridge is a bit over the top here, Krupa's drumming had declined noticeably from 46-47. The chart is by George Williams. This is from a Victor album near the end of his touring band days. I love Krupa, but I prefer 45-47 as his apex.

  • Thank you for exposing this wonderful genre

  • I have an original Dolores Hawkins 45 RPM record, I wonder if it worth anything.

  • Dolores Hawkins on Krupa`s "Bop Boogie" the lady could scat.

  • Frank Rosolino!

  • encore un bijou !! merci
