I will be sleeping before the song's finished...Haha... i suggest you listen to Kaskade version for more chill and jazzy version that you will never forget, and most important....sleep.
still, still, still tis the night of our saviors birth so hush, little baby nothing can harm you, marys arms will sweetly surround you, still, still, still tis the night of our saviors voice for unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given and his name shall be called 'wonderful' coun---cel---or the mighty God the prince of peace
I sang "On this Still Silent Night" last year in chorus, which is just like Still Still Still and Silent night in german mixed together, and it's beautiful.
were singing this in Fermatas at my school....its more piano-y though, but i guess thats because its played on the piano :P well, anyways, i really like this song, thanx for posting it :)
We sing this in choir, well english of course. It's german. Part of it is "Still Still Still, he has come the holy child, with awe and wonder we behold him, Mary's loving arms enfold him, Still Still Still, he has come the holy child." <~ That's the first verse.
We're singing the german version :). Our teacher insists that we sing in other languages as much as possible. We're singing this German carol, at least one latin one (I think she has another one ordered, but it hasn't come in yet), and one that's partly in Hebrew partly in English. (And the English version that came with our German was all about falling snow lullying the baby to sleep rather than the translation of the song...still pretty nonetheless, and it doesn't even matter anyway, does it?)
Intresting..my teacher said there was another version like the lullaby baby thing..I wonder why were not singing that version..hmm..I don't think it matters all, I want to hear that lullaby version now though! :]
I remember singing this song in choir when I was in high school. That was a loooong time ago, but the I remember the words: "Now hush little baby, nothing can harm you. Mary's arms will sweetly surround you. Still, still, still, God's perfect gift is here."
Umm no the real legit version is
Still Still Still
One can hear the falling snow
For all is hushed the world is sleeping
Night is cold and wind is sweeping
Dream Dream Dream
Of the joyce day to come
While guardian angels whiteout numbers
Watch you as you sweetly slumber

The Austrian one says
"Still,still, still,
Because the little child wants to sleep,
The little angels are rejoicing (like Jubilation!)
Making music by the cresh.
(They sound British or American) Heard iit a-capella in Vienna, on the street in the snow! That was the best I've ever heard.
Merry Christmas
