Terrific cinematography! I look forward to seeing more. Thanks again for your support of my film project it's much appreciated. Keep up the creativity!
I'm in Canada filming for Discovery at the moment - can't upload video from that assignment but I've put some posts up on my Facebook page (which link to Twitter) if anyone's interested.
I did not get close to the fox - it got close to me, by chance. I was about 80m from the field edge where the 'earth' was, standing in another overgrown hedge of brambles and trees but with no hide. I used a 500mm lens but it is possible to work much closer to foxes in towns and places where they are not shot.
really good trailer! i have been wanting to buy the dvd for a year now but have been tight on the cash, as ive been spending it on other equipment towards making my own wildlife film/series.
I have just watched your short video trailer of the wildlife in your area. It was brilliantly filmed and the narration was perfectly timed. I still have a bit to learn.
@13tenbears Thanks for the comments. The narration took a lot of work and learning - I had never done one before and was pretty fussy about how I wanted it to be. It's frustrating because you never have enough time to say everything you want and saying only a little and keeping it making sense is much harder than saying a lot.
@YavapaiOutdoors When I get the time I'm hoping to post some tips and techniques clips that didn't make it onto the DVD extras. I never took any formal training - I learnt the most important lessons about camerawork by working a few years as an assistant editor. Cutting rooms are the place where it all comes together (or not) and people feel free to criticise the camerawork !
its amazing to see shots as good as this ..people like you are the reason i want to be a cameraman for BBC : )
