Always a class act, he and the original band performed amazingly in line with their recordings and with a lot of thought.put into the compositions and staging. I remember quite clearly after seeing their early performances in Philly with all of them garbed outrageously, the band took out an ad in Billboard Magazine with all of them in a line dressed in suits essentially marching to the bank and thanking the industry for the dollars involved. Hugely funny.
