Yes, people's accents can change. I grew up in Texas then lived out of state for about 5 years far from Texas or even the South. Nobody can guess where I'm from now, because I chose to lose the accent. I was tired of people thinking I as an ignorant hick just because of that stupid redneck Texas accent.
So it's really possible for Reva to lose the accent. Who wants to sound like a moron when it takes only a little work to sound like you don't go barefoot all the time?
Alan had left Prison earlier than he expected and he didn't tell his Family. He decided to use Roger to help him get his Assets back and when Roger found out he had been played, he tried to get back at Alan but once again failed.
I loved this. i remember when Alan brought Reva to town to claim she was still married to Billy so he and Vanessa wouldn't get married. Bernau was a wonderfully, menacing Alan.
I miss the way Reva was. Kim Zimmer was great with Christopher Bernau...hard to believe he would die from AIDS-related pneumonia by 1989 [the year Ron Raines took over as Alan, with Daniel Pilon pinch-hitting between CB's last performance and RR's first day in 1989]. IMO, today Alan comes across as a cartoon, and I miss CB all the more.
