Has anybody had this problem when i first played and did the first mission i went through killing the cops and everything but when we got on the boat there was no cops after me and at first i was happy about that but now, like later on he stops the boat and it won't move until like he thinks i'm shooting cops (which i'm not ) and i just shoot and he moves the boat a little but the mission still will not complete. >:/

The original Saints Row was made, because at the time their was no GTA on the PS3/Xbox 360, so they did what the customers wanted and made an open world game like GTA. Once GTA 4 was released Saints Row wanted to make themselves stand out from the crowd of GTA ripoffs so they went with a much more over the top approach. Much more over the top than San Andreas.

They didn't "hand over" anything, unless you can show me some proof that they did.

@gamekidillon12 Though I don't agree with Everything Gamekidillon is saying, you are wrong about why Saints Row was released originally. It was ,for all intents and purposes, a San Andreas rip-off. After the creators so how good the reception was for San Andreas they decided to try and "mooch" on that fad. Though it has evolved into a game all on it's own with a unique history and story. San Andreas was released on the Xbox 360 before Saint's Row came out and it never ported to ps3.

But the creators preferred the graphics on the 360 over the ps2 which is why they didn't release it for the ps2. Sorry if my wording was confusing I am doing this on my phone. But yes you are right that they did go on to create a franchise that is separate from GTA.

@Jdawg186 Your comparison is inaccurate. Twilight Princess was designed for the Wii and GC, so it is a next-gen game. However, San Andreas was simply ported to the Xbox 360, and not designed with next-gen consoles in mind. You could port DOOM to the Xbox 360, that doesn't make it next-gen.
