Ja. Paxman seems to have a major agenda and very limited sense of what Cronenberg (both the man and his films) is all about. It's a testament to Cronenberg's intellect and civility that he could answer with such composure and not betray any annoyance.

I don't think Paxman has an agenda, he is just challenging Cronenberg on his beliefs and work. I think Cronenberg was happy discussing these subjects
