  • The song is beautiful! I love to see adding new and more powerful meaning to songs. It's not a Downer but an Upper and saultes the original maker.

  • amazing loved it

  • I saw a white woman.this proves that racism is History and it doesn't exist anymore.grat song

  • This version is still just too amazing!

  • wow,how amazeing!

  • I loved it, though I did feel as if I were back at a POW WOW.

  • amazing!

  • where can i get the lyrics for this version

  • For some reason there is this Native American feel to this song...

  • The singer that leaves center stage to play the drums (right) looks 100% like my son Jorge Olson de Abreu(deceased 11/19/2009). Do you know how I could confirm? Thank You Joao

  • I remember this, it was my first year. We had so much fun!

  • This is absolutely amazing

  • Pack of lie. This song is an Eva Cassidy rendition just made into an African Gospel form. creatures in red, white, and blue are from her version back in the 80s I believe. The original black spiritual from the slavery era sounded nothing like this either. Great sound and presence, but claiming that that version was yours, give some fair credit to Eva she died of skin cancer.

  • @Icyveins906 How is there a lie? All it say's is led by Dr. James E Mumford... it doesn't say this rendition was created or written by him. Its nice to know that Eva Cassidy created this rendition. when Dr. Mumford presented this song to the choir, he never led anyone to think that he had created this arrangement. most likely he is very aware of Eva Cassidy, but he can be credited for the idea of bring Rasta Nyahbinghi drums into this version, because that has never quite been done like this!

  • @selahci in the video he said he did the arrangement....so maybe he combined his and eva's? But it is obviously Eva's put in a different genre

  • @Icyveins906 its far from important what she died from!

  • @Icyveins906 actually, idiot . . . its a NEGRO SPIRITUAL . do your research moron .

  • @sheszahustla The melody of wade in the water is...idiot. This particular arrangement was written by Eva Cassidy and she received no credit. Seriously, did you read my whole comment?

  • @Icyveins906 and AGAIN , you miss the point . irregardless if it is arranged to sound like the Eva Cassidy version which in all actuality SUCKS ASS and idgaf if she died of cancer or not it doesn`t take away from the fact that its nothing in comparison to the original . . . moron ; as you should being that you`re an idiot on youtube saying its a lie . get a life .

  • @Icyveins906 first of all this song is from 1901 even eva wasn't born at that time read some black history then judge

  • Fantastic 5/5, faved

  • this is great. God loves music

  • Spectacular.
