  • My Brother.... Curtis... RIP

  • Ah, man! This really brings back good memories. Too young to go to the club..never knew what the artist looked like..just heard great music being pumped by Kiss and WBLS.

Tears of joy (in remembering good times) and partial for sorrow, for those that have left the physical.

Regardless, their work makes them immortal.

    Due ya' thing Mr. Hairston.

  • tu passe le bonjour a Boukasquetta !!!

  • Top post! I remember his Top of the Pops performance of this & it's cool to see the actual promo video too! A wicked song & one hell of a good voice!

  • I remember Curtis being in London doing the promotional stuff in 85' but i'm sure he didn't do TOTP.If you say he did, then he did would love to see that.He is my fav male vocalist of all time.He was a really nice guy from stuff I have read, very into the church but conflicted with his gayness. That's the deep South for you!!

  • yeah he did! In fact in an interview with the John Peel on the TOTP 2 website he states that his performance as being one of his most memorable which is kinda cool! "Feel So Real" by Steve Arrington was on the same show where he kicks off his sandals on stage & sings for England! From what I can remember it was a good period for quality soul music doing really well in the UK chart.

  • Thanks for sharing. I do not remember this - but it sounds good but probably not good enough for radio unfortunately.

  • Fantastic groove!

  • thank you for uploading this!!
