Why does anybody even BOTHER with Trophies/Achievements? They don't reward you with anything useful in actual gameplay, like new weapons, new characters, new levels, nothing. They are literally not good for anything other than bragging rights, which are literally worth NOTHING.

Achievements are simply there to improve replayability as it gives you another objective to attain after completing the main campagin. Some developers actually do choose to give unlockables for completing achievements as well.

It's like complaining that someone wants to wears a necklace. You don't NEED a necklace, but it's not like it's affecting anyone.

These days, it's almost imperative that people play some kind of video game. When I've got kids, I'm gonna give'm educational games when they're young, Mario and Sonic games when they're adolescent, and Metal Gear frikkin' Solid when they're teenagers.
