I got this guitar for 850 too. I love how versatile it is. About the tuning, it should have stock locking tuners otherwise I recommend putting some on. It makes changing the strings EASY and it stays in tune

Oh well maybe someday I'll be able to afford to switch over to an electric, but not right now, unfortunately. Sooo...I plug along in my own slow way usually with my fingers getting tangled around the strings - LOLOL.

Has a humbucker in the bridge position but I think it could get a hendrix tone with the right rig.

Thanks I havent made any changes yet. I so have one note that dies when I bend it, not happy the sustain, or how bad it goes out of tune when I use the tremelo. I'll look for solutions for these problems soon.

so i have that same strat i bought it a week ago and the first day it i rippd it apart so far i have routed the body for a floyd rose i got all new pickups some dimarzios and it is gonna be be repainted poison green i am into 80s glam

I got this guitar too. I was checking out deluxe players strats, and then I picked up this one, and I loved it. It was so much heavier and just felt better. Not to mention the finish is awesome. The tone is different than a regular strat. It came with 9's on it, and I switched to 10's and lowered the action a little on the g- high e strings. I think I will eventually change that humbucker though. It's kinda noisy.

Sorry, forgot to mention, sounds like you have a lot more "playing" in you, and that you're toning it down because the camera is on you. I know how that feels, and I detect that on you. You play so well, and it looks like you're scared to make a mistake on camera! Man, you play good!!!

I may not have understood the stereo question. If you put &fmt=18 at the end of any videos' URL it will play in stereo.

That's what I thought, and it works for most videos, but not mine. I think YouTube forces some videos into mono while converting them to FLV upon upload, depending on what the original format is. I'll figure it out some day. :)

That's awesome. The tone is insane!! On a sidenote, how do you make youtube retain the stereo sound for the HQ video? Mine don't play in stereo when, even when I click HQ.

Thanks for the great comments! There's no secret to HQ stereo. YouTube is probably changing something. Hopefully all our vids will play in stereo automaticly soon.

Beautiful well crafted instrument with endless tone. My only complaint is that dispite it's fancy hardware it does not stay in tune when using the tremelo.

I can get away with very light use but I can go out a full step when dive bombing. This happened even with the factory installed strings. :(

Although I did get a great bluesy sound from my amp, the my pedalboard gave me a closer sound to Stevie's, so I went with that. I do have a nice mic. now and hope to start mic'n my amp for certain parts on future vids.
