First of all I love the J.S. Back music and secondly it is neat to see faces being transformed from female to male, old to young, white to oriental or Eskimo, etc.
It brings back good memories of being in elementary school.
It's a Bach chorale, arranged and performed by flautist Paul Horn. He plays five flutes, I believe, overdubbing himself. It was on his album "Inside 2" if I recall correctly.
@grecomic I never before paid attention to the fact whether or not some of these faces were particular Canadian celebrities, politicians,or personalities before until now.
Brings back memories of my childhood. This always impressed me considering it was animation done all by drawing. NFB put out some pretty impressive stuff. I miss the national flavour of these shorts and vignettes. CBC should bring them back, along with the old Hinterland Who's Who. The new ones just don't compare, and are rarely shown even then.
Unlike Black & White this was not done using CGI. It was done the old fashioned way with a lot of hard work, painting hundreds of individual cells and then photographing each one one at a time to make this short film.
I had no idea there were so many "celebrity cameos" in this.

Actually, the Michael Jackson video copies Godley & Creme's "Cry" video from 1985. Look it up.
I don't think G&C saw this, though. But the idea has probably occurred to any number of artists.
