  • 不思議なエンジン音ですね。ハイテクの音?(笑)

  • What are the engines on this aircraft and why did the Japanese decide to use four engines as opposed to two?

  • Comment removed

  • Returning to the base becomes difficult when there are only two engines when the engine stops due to some troubles because the maritime patrol aircraft have to keep flying the sea for a long time.

  • Engine: IHI XF7-10, 12000lb (5,400kg) ×4

    product made in Japan

P-X is Maritime patrol aircraft. Therefore these elements become important. So, four engines was adopted.

    1. Redundancy(more safe performance)

    2. Silent performance

    3. Power supply

  • like D1-Aria(Rhaxephon)

  • P3-Cの後継機なの?

    エンジンまで国産とは凄いね。

    これに客席をつけてYS-11の後継機としても

    いんじゃね?

    お客さんを乗せて、ついでに対潜哨戒もしちゃうとか(笑)

  • it´s the amazing reaction-powered p-3 thing!

i'm a p-3 pilot and that´s a concept that was always walking around my head, I even drew one plane like this once.
