no, not at all. Tolkien wanted to to create a myth to counter the story of King Arthur as he himself was of English-German and not Celtic origin. That's why some inspiration came from the anglo-saxon legend of Beowulf and it's also the reason why many of the good guys have Germanic names (Frodo, Gandalf, Theoden etc.)

I didn't say they weren't brave, but they were (in their best days) demonised by Christian Europeans just like the forces of Mordor in LotR. And why are there so many paralles between the evil side in this story and the Turkish Empires, including Seljuks and maybe also Huns? For example the similarity between Theoden (with a son named Theodred) and this Visigothian king Theoderid (also named Theodoric), who fought against the Hunnish ruler Atilla in 451. Aren't Turks proud to be related to Huns?
