I follow Chance and must say he is well cared for compared to others you see on videos here. His body language tells it all. People don't understand how you correct a monkey. You don't "spank" a monkey but set rules and use a cage, room or something else for a timeout so the monkey can reflect on what happened. I thank you for your videos and for sharing your time with us.
People please do read a few articles on owning a monkey, especially after it becomes sexually mature in order to redefine that meaning of the word cute. I would like to see someone take that away from a monkey that still has all its teeth (this one it seems was already mutilated in order to protect its owners from being seriously hurt) and that is not in a cage. And see if you come out of the room alive.
@pizzapingvin I do agree, read and learn before you buy!!! this is a life long committment!!! 40 years, and if treated properly, monkey's respond to redirection and know their boundaries. I know him, and know if someone upsets him. Chance is surround by people all day long. and he has not been mutilated he has all his teeth but one that was lost after a root canal.
@LynnDLA Ok, Im sorry then, I couldnt see his canines and assumed they were removed. While I dont really support monkey ownership I suppose If one has one, you seem the kind of serious owner that loves the experience despite the amount of work it involves and perhaps even more so, patience. So so many people just go on a whim and buy and then discard them when problems arise. Good luck
I have 3 Capuchins... Tina, Jammie, and Boom boom.. They are very sensitive and when they get upset it is best to just get out of their way until they calm down. I am the Alpha male but if they are all out of their cages playing at the same time, and one of them thinks they have been disrespected and throws a tantrum, they will all gang up on me! They take sides! team up, and it is pretty hard to deal with them like that. Now only one gets to play outside at a time.
@moshack I could not handle more than one monkey - I know how much work one is. Chance gets lots of socizaliation when i take him to work with me, he has his own following at the office and for the record does get lots of time OUT OF HIS CAGE, However I cannot take pictures of him out when i am handleing him. only got two hands unlike him who has 4, (really 5)
was soll das ?????????????????????

Wow, those are some hurt feelings if I ever saw them. The way he wraps his arms together is so much like a child.

Deep into his mind when we starts to calm down "Daddy loves me, Daddy loves me, Daddy loves me."

He is a child. HE behaves a lot like a human child. Don't provoke him, but if he tantrums on his own, disipline him.

Cute, but aren't you afraid he could choke on that? Balloons are like one of the biggest choking hazards.

@DanaTS he usually "flosses" with the balloon fragments and I pick them up off the floor after playing

@pizzapingvin How can you say Chance was mutilated when you can see all of his teeth when he reacts to losing his toy?
