  • He is so lovely!!! Love the voice, the brow and the hands!!

  • his answers r smart and impressive

  • I saw the end of series 9. Did Lucas actually die?

  • I know he's 40 but he's still hot!! Gawd where do men like this exist? I really agree with you people, he looks sexy, but he has that sort of karma, or charisma, that idea that he wants to draw everyone into the conversation... or something... That magnetism...

  • esta voz, é pra fazer qualquer uma esquecer de seus problemas... Lindo, talentoso, educado, bonito, inteligente, enfim... Um Gentleman.

  • I love when he has his hair like this lol

  • I love Richard's voice, and his personality. He's so sweet and timid. I just want to give him a big hug!

  • Lord Jesus, we are so lonely. It is so easy to live in fantasy land where there are no disappointments & brokenness. it is so easy to cast our eyes on this lovely man. Forgive us, Lord. Keep us living in the present. Give us eyes to see the good things we've missed. May those who are captured by the beauty & talents you so generous gave R.C. be motivated to pray for him. Fame & fortune has eviscerated so many. Keep R.C. Bless, protect & guide him. May he always know that you are near.

  • @pigsinbed - Wow, I'm pretty sure the reason why you are "so lonely" is not because you live in a "fantasy land" but rather because you come across as a complete and utter religious nut job.

And why are you preaching to God on a Richard Armitage video on youtube???

  • Wow. He says NO to violence and YES to love. He's fantastic. That's quite rare I think. Also after what he said about filming North & South. He's so down to earth, romantic guy who hates to be categorized and who's not ashamed to say he wants to do "something nice and calm, all about love".

  • I want that man in my bed, in my bath, in my kitchen...

Seriously. He's truly charming and sensual. First time I feel something like that for a "celebrity".

  • He's beautiful.

  • cant see me watching it without lucas-i stopped watching it whilst adam starred in it, i know he was well liked by many but he didnt entertain me, and neither do any of the now remaining characters, but again, im sure others will enjoy watching them. i think tom, ros, jo, and lucas should have remained as the team

  • i see this man playing the role of commander James Bond 007 in 10 years.

  • I love this man. He seems to be such a kind person! Love the way he gesticulates, and of course, his voice! Please do cast him in every possible movie!

  • It was really amazing seeing him in Spooks because I seen him in the Vicar of Dibley and to see that he has such a brillaint range of acting skills (and his good looks) was amazing!! I really love Spooks now! And the Vicar of Dibley! :) Thank you for uploading x

  • Richard Armitage must be one of the most gorgeous men I have seen (and heard!) in my life. I am glad that we will soon be able to see him on the big screen, because my heart is full of compassion with the millions of people on the planet who don't know him yet. ;-)

  • His appeal is beyond looks. Of course he does look great, especiall in this interview, but more than that, he has got a certain magnetism that is hard to describe. It has to do with screen charisma, with his voice and his ability to convey emotions. You just can't turn your eyes off of him.

  • @TheGlaros Totally agree with everything you say! I wonder if he even knows that he has those traits. Thanks for your comment!

  • @TheGlaros I agree! His is incredibly handsome but it is his acting and charisma which make me act like a school girl about him! I have never been so entranced by an actor nor followed an actor like RA. Maybe it's because I live in the US where there are no actors to compare to RA!

  • "I have never been so entranced by an actor"

The same here. :-) And I live on the other side of the Atlantic. There are plenty of very handsome actors. I usually don't care about them. But it is different with Richard Armitage. His sceen presence, voice and charisma are just mesmerizing.

  • @TheGlaros So funny! At least I am not the only one :) I just found out about RA this summer (late to the game, I know) when I saw him in N&S and I must watch scenes from it once a week. He is the only actor that I have been tempted to write to and tell him how incredible he was in that movie. Now I am trying to folllow him on Spooks, which I love BTW. I am jealous that I am all the way over across the Atlantic ;)

  • @TheGlaros

Agree with you.He is magnificent. I love his voice. One you hear it you can't forget it. He is so talented in so many different types of the characters he plays. Incredibly charming and very charismatic man and actor.

  • @TheGlaros RA's voice is LOVELY! I listen to his audiobook The Lords of the North regularly and never tire of it. That's very sweet of you to say about RA soon being exposed to a world-wide audience. I am thrilled for him too. Hopefully The Hobbit will make him a household name. Thanks again for your comment!

  • @bccmee

I am a native German speaker, and on German television there hasn't been shown much of his work yet (not even the last seasons of "Spooks"). I happened to discover him only recently when I saw "North & South", and his performance and charisma swept me off of my feet. I couldn't believe that this incredible gem of an actor is still kind of "hidden" on British television. That's why I was excited to hear that he was cast in "Captain America" and especially in "The Hobbit". :-)

  • I couldn't imagine Spooks without Tom, then without Zoe, then without Danny, then without Adam...lol. They have a knack for connecting you with characters to the point where you can't imagine it being as good without them. But then they introduce the new characters and you grow to love them too. Like what's happened with Lucas! Surely it can't be the end for Harry Pierce though.

  • @KosmicFlux Harry will pull through ... remember when he was kidnapped? Took only one episode to get him back on the grid! Thanks for your comment!

  • Omg the episode when all his past is out is so moving if he dies it will be so sad he acted that so amazin I think he is just utterly drilliant and should be in Spooks for ever as it would not be the same with out him. X

  • @sarsiebear1 I think that Spooks episode 9.7 was one of my favorites for the acting alone! Thanks for your comment.

  • It has been announced. Rhichard Armitage will play the dwarven king "Thorin Oakenshield" in the upcoming movie "The Hobbit"

  • @Supremed9 Can't wait to see Richard Armitage on the big screen in a major role! I'm also excited about his upcoming interviews. How thrilling! Thanks for your comment.

  • @bccmee I agree! I think he'll act as a good king ;) As for the comment, my pleasure. Simply spreading the great news :)

  • @Supremed9

Yep, he's actually gonna come to NZ to film, yeeha!!!!!

  • @Supremed9 interesting. I'm happy that he's FINALLY makin it on the big screen... but I'll be sad b/c I like bein' part of the AA and swooning over him privately. lol. After this, EVERYONE'll know who my wallpaper is :)

  • I watch this video every morning now, just need a dose of RA to start my day LOL... Thanks, bccmee!!

  • @boya307 We might see some awesome interviews coming up regarding Richard Armitage's upcoming role in The Hobbit! Thanks for your comment.

  • I really hope Lucas is around for Series 10. I started watching this show because of RA and I absolutely love his character. Thanks for posting!

  • @Yaz0404 Richard Armitage is the only reason I watch Spooks also. He seems like a busy fellow and I hope he has time to do all he wants to do. Thanks for your comment!

  • кстати,народ,а объясните мне пожалуйста,что он говорит хD

  • @224pet Я загрузил стенограмма страницы, чтобы облегчить перевод этого интервью. Смотрите описание. I uploaded a transcript page to make it easier to translate this interview. See the description.

  • Thank you from a RA fan in the States. A wonderful interview. Patiently waiting for S9 to appear online.

  • @reverie2bls It's quite a delightful interview, I agree! Thanks for your comment.

  • @reverie2bls Me, too ...I love him...

  • @reverie2bls Me too!! We have to wait so long here in the States! We need to live in the UK to get to see all of RA's work.

  • Thank you for posting! For us Spooks and RA fans in the States, this is a double treat! Cannot wait to see season 9 but have to rely on all in Britain to post them :)

  • @cescarun Oh I love this interview and have watched it several times. I'm glad to be of service for fellow fans outside the UK. Thanks so much for your comment!

  • Very interesting interview. I'm so happy that spooks is back. 8D And Richard... *sigh*. Excuse me for that but I would eat him alive. His voice, his eyes, his smile... He is simply perfect. A god in my opinion. lol

  • @EverAfterHL Richard Armitage did give a great interview here! And yes, hoorah for a new season of Spooks! Here's hoping for a 10th series with Lucas North. Thanks for your comment.

  • I saw Richard in a non-violent role for a daytime bbc mini-series earlier this year - can't remember what it was called and even though he showed his versatility I can't but think of him as anything other than the archetypical British spy - even his role in Robin Hood didn't quite cut it for me. I can't believe the producers of the James Bond franchise haven't earmarked Richard - they need to do it before he gets too old to be considered for the part - he's tailor made for it.

  • @MCForty Richard Armitage played John Mulligan in an episode of Moving On. He was excellent in that role but I don't go for the "bad boys." He has said recently, perhaps as a joke, that he would like to play a Bond baddie. If he is cast as Bond, that would be a huge step in his career. Thanks for your comment.

  • @MCForty Good shout out! Richard Armitage for James Bond after Daniel Craig though cause Danial is still an amazing Bond!

  • I'll miss Ros but her leaving is good for richard's character since he is promoted to head the unit whereas before I thought it was awkward for him to be the "leading man" (other than Harry ofcourse) and also take orders from others

  • @cutyariana Yes, I wonder how that's going to pan out. Lucas looks good and very Porter-ish in the first episode of season 9 and I hope he'll be an effective leader. Thanks for your comment.

  • Many thanks for sharing.

I love his acting and I hope he does a Rom-Com. He;s much better than Hugh Grant

  • @Deena777 I like Hugh Grant very much but I admit that RA has more range. Let's hope that we get to see that rom-com in the next couple of years. Are you reading this, writer Richard Curtis? ;) Thanks for your comment.

  • Excellent interview! It would be so lovely to see him in something "all about love". But he'd better get the girl this time!!

  • @ThePhylly3 Hee hee! I hope he does get his wish to be in a romance. What a treat that would be! Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you bccmee. Just love his voice and glad to see he is getting use to all these interviews. Hmmm he'd love to do something romantic. Well, we'd love to see him in a romantic movie.

  • @mollyz1234 He really is interesting to listen to. I have watched this interview many times and I even transcribed it for the closed captioning. A labor of love, I assure you! Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks for posting! Oh, to know that Spooks has started and I can't find a way yet to see it in the US....I'm very sad. Appreciate the RA vid. Can't wait for him to make it onto the global stage....

  • @jamame Ack, that's too bad you can't see Spooks yet! It's better than before. Yes, it will be great to see RA on the big screen soon. He's definitely on the RAdar lately. He was trending on twitter the other day. :) Thanks for your comment.

  • Good idea a Spooks movie. Something nice and calm and all about Love? Hmm a romantic comedy / film..? Vicar of Dibley the movie?

    Thanx 4 posting.

  • @Sparkelintherain Ooh, I like the way you think. A VoD movie would be amazingly cool! I'm excited to see him in a film someday...hope it happens! Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you so much for posting this! You're the best! As I'm in the US I would not have a chance to see it otherwise.

After doing 15-20 interviews on the same topic and being asked the same questions, it's amazing that Richard has *really* developed the skill of listening to the interviewer's exact question, so that he can answer it clearly, AND changes up / alters his answers, to be more interesting and give them depth. **Which mades EVERY interview with him watchable and interesting.** Yay!

  • @ExJetCityWoman Good point regarding "interview after interview." Reminds me of that scene in Notting Hill when Julia Roberts' character was doing all those interviews one after the other and Hugh Grant's character poses as a reporter from "Horse & Hound!" #LOL I think this is the same shirt RA was wearing in a recent-published publicity shot for a print interview so it was likely the same day. He is very conscientious & I definitely appreciate his thoughtful answers! Thanks for your comment.

  • thanks so much! Richard never stops being just amazing!

  • @arwynt Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks for your comment.

  • thanks so much for posting this. what a great interview - after a real dry stretch, it's great to see him looking happy, healthy and yet again excited about one of his characters, a real trademark for richard!! being one of those RA fans from the US who don't get nearly enough access to his work, i truly appreciate those of you who find and post these clips on youtube. yeah richard and yeah to his hopefully upcoming lovefest....fingers crossed for sooner rather than later....!

  • @vickihermit This is truly one of my favorite interviews given by RA! He is so thoughtful and takes his time and thinks before he speaks. It's a delight to behold. As a fellow American, I find it really frustrating to be geo-blocked. We are the world! #LOL Thanks so much for your comment.

  • thank you for uploading! that's very nice of you :)

  • @snowwhiteu2 You're very sweet to say. Thanks for your comment.

  • I love his expression seconds before he says: "I'm really not a violent person" 10:05

  • @PauAngie You made me watch it again! #LOL I agree, he looks very cute there. Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you for posting this excellent interview. Richard is so articulate and its clear how much thought he puts into his characters.

And yes, I would love to see him do something about love.

    Sigh.

    All Love

    Padme A'Tea

  • @Padme729 He really does listen to the questions and does not provide ready-made answers. It's such a pleasure to watch and listen to him in this interview where he was able to take his time. Here's hoping that he will have a major role in a movie soon, whether it be about love or a Spooks film. Thank you for your comment.

  • THANK YOU!

  • @SMaryG You're so very welcome!

  • Thank you so much! This was the interview we knew about by twitter, right?

It's sunday already, less than 24 hours for Spooks to begin!!!

  • @1FoLC1 The very same! There was a twitpic and a request for questions. I wonder who submitted the one they used? Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you so much for uploading this.

  • @shhylady You're welcome. Thanks for your comment.

  • Can't never get enough of him ♥

    Thank you :D

  • @ihearteunhyuk He's quite delightful! Thanks for your comment.

  • @bccmee typo! i mean ever, not never -_-

    you're welcome :)

  • @ihearteunhyuk Oh I knew exactly what you meant! :D

  • Thanks so much for posting this fantastic interview, this is serious stuff!! I love it! Can't wait for Spooks to start!

  • @Aliena5582 You're very welcome. Just a few more days till Spooks 9, woohoo! Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!!! I'm eagerly awaiting season 9. I hope Lucas isn't killed off this season. He's the reason I watch:)

  • @tully2shoes Same here! I started watching in season 7 and will stop watching if and when Lucas leaves the show. Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you so much for posting this!!! - You really have a heart for non U.K. RA-fans. - A wonderful interview with lots of insight. I hope RA stays for the next series 10 as well, though he is not sure here.

  • @CDoart We need to look out for each other! Obviously I'm hoping that Lucas will be around for season 10. Thanks for your lovely comment.

  • @zagorka77 Happily I have it offline so I can watch at will. :) He was very delightful! Not sure if it has all sunk in yet so I may have to watch it a few dozen more times. Thanks for your comment!

  • ААААА!Какой же он зая!Полный ЧГ!

    любовь всей моей жизни!

    какие же у него глаза.....какой голос.....все,забирайте клиента....

  • @224pet Спасибо! А также благодаря Google перевод! #LOL ♥

  • Thanks so much Bccnee, just a delightful interview. Lots of insight into how he sees and plays Lucas and I can never get enough of that shy smile.

It is wonderful that there are so many folks sure everyone has access to his interviews.

  • @pbryt This season looks spooktacular. ;) It will be exciting to see Lucas as head spy and I'm looking forward to RA's interpretation of the character. I was glad to be able to post this interview because I know how frustrating it is to be blocked. Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you bccmee - miss you in the zone. It is a great interview. We saw this shot months ago. He looks great and I love all the questions. The last question was so sweet the way he answered it. Penny

  • @pennyroyal59 How sweet of you to say, pennyroyal59. I remember your "vacation photos." *giggle* I saw the cap of this on Twitter and I tweeted the interviewer to ask if Richard Armitage knew she took the picture or if she used a spy camera. ;) Thanks for your comment.

  • I love him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @AgentSpookygirl I completely understand! ♥ ♥ ♥ Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks so much for taking such good care of your fellow fans! This is one of my favorite interviews and the questions were great - not just talking points from a press release. Must have been filmed earlier and definitely the interviewer watches the show. So the series is all about Lucas! Can't wait until Monday night!!

  • @psychomammy That's sweet of you to say, psychomammy! Agreed, this is absolutely one of the best interviews. A few months ago I remember a tweet by TVdotcomUK asking for questions to ask RA. The interviewer has a high skill set. :) Thanks for your comment.

  • Can't waaaaait for monday!!!! Thanks SO much for this upload!! :D

  • @42LightYears Can't wait either! So exciting! Thanks for your comment.

  • This is the best interview so far that he's done for Spooks 9 promo! The interviewer has done her research well. Thanks so much for uploading this for us non-UKers, bccmee! ❤❤❤

A watery grave for Lucas... brilliant... he's apparently thought some about it... But not before they do Spooks, The Movie 2012!

All producers/casting directors out there... are you listening? 'All about love'... it's what he wants... it's what we want!!!

  • @TheOPERAphile Yes, the interviewer was most excellent. I wonder what lies ahead? Richard Curtis should write a comedy for Richard Armitage in my humble opinion! I first saw RA in the Vicar of Dibley and initially thought he was a comic actor. This man needs to be in movies! Thanks for your comment.

  • Thank you so much bccmee for posting this. It's the best interview I've seen him do to promote himeslf and Spooks 9 so far. Lovely. I'd love to see him do a project like that too.

  • @Myslexia1 Thank you for your comment, Myslexia1. He is a delight to behold and to be-hear. ;)

  • Thanks for the upload! Ditto on "all about luv", certainly like to see him in drama. The best interview of S9 so far. Glad the button was undone, yesterday's too tight!! LOL

  • @whomels Totally loved this interview! Agree that it was great. Wish it was me asking the questions although the results might not be as professional! Thanks for your comment.

  • What a lovely interview! Absolutely adore him. Cant' wait for the "all about Love"-project!!!

  • @SarainStockholm You and me both! I wonder if that's one of his 'top secret' scripts. Thanks for your comment.

  • Bring on RA doing something "all about Love"

  • @julesjet01 Oh yeah baby! Woohoo! Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks bccmee - my favourite interview for S9 I think. Sigh*****

  • @tiffhod4 You're welcome, tiffhod4. It might be my favorite too ... he gives such considered answers and I love the humorous bit at the end! #LOL Thanks for your comment.

  • Thanks for this. It's a lovely interview. Richard always talks so thoughtfully and intelligently about his work and his characters - such a pleasure to watch. Thanks again.

  • @kaprekar30 Richard Armitage gave such a delightful 10+ minute interview. *sigh* Thanks for your comment! I agree he is so thoughtful (and humorous)!
