aaa this takes me back to my teens, followed these guys everywhere and Micky was something else had to be seen to be believed. Thanks for this George you are a true credit to your Dad.
MAN.....Micky Jones you were the very best, with your unique guitar playing and vocals. You bought to us much joy with your performances....I first saw you play at the Rainbow. I was 16 now 53 and many times between......The last song I saw you play was Georgia on my mind on one of your solo gigs....When we rewind to play your music. Micky Jones you will always be on our minds....Thank you Micky.
Reading these comments is bringing another tear to my eyes I only wish you could all have heard what Deke said at the funeral. It is enough to say he had in his words what we all feel, and that is that Micky, though the great guitarist that he was, was such a absofuckinlutely fantastic bloke fantastic genuine diamond.
So sorry to hear of your loss, George. Your dad was one of the finest players of his generation and Man one of the greatest bands - sadly under-regarded in the UK. Some of us knew better though.
Thank you for letting us know this sad news. He was 'one in a few'.... one among very few indeed, who touched very many; very many, with many more to come over years to come. Yes. much to celebrate too.
When I heard him play I felt regenerated. Life felt good again. Why do they always take the good ones? George - please keep his legacy going by playing his songs.

I saw Man 2 times in Germany and I will never forget it!
I´m so sad that Micky is gone. I love his voice...
And for me it was a magic moment as he stands in front of me and gave me ( he and Martin) an autograph in 1996.
Good luck to the rest of Man...

Always thought of Micky in the same stratosphere as John Cipollina. They were the faces of that genre, at that time. RIP, old friends.....
