Salieri's superb analysis of Mozart & of his music enlightens even the simplest of the simple minds to give a bit of a clue to the greatness of a genius! Salieri wasn't the ONLY composer who was jealous of Mozart. When he accused himself of killing Mozart, i believe he meant that he destroyed him. Something went wrong in the translation..i'm sure! Salieri was one of Mozart's greatest admirer.
This excerpt from Amadeus is pitched too high, as was the entire movie when it was shown on television a few years ago. Can anyone tell me why a movie is played at a faster speed on so many DVDs? Can it be just to cram the entire movie into a shorter time period? My DVD of American Graffiti is also pitched too high, putting all the songs a half step sharp. This is intolerable to anyone who is pitch sensitive. WHY???!!!
can someone please tell me the name of the first piano song (0:00 to 0:30 when he's blindfolded), i played this piece when i was 8 but i forgot the name of the song...
It's a menuet KV 5. His fifth work that is. He composed it in 1762, age 6. Isn't that amazing. If you type Mozart K 5 on youtube you'll find it. It's usually at the end of the music that you'll hear this tune.
@riseuplight Its in the Amadeus Movie Soundtrack - Early 18th Centenary Gypsy music called Burke and Hagis or something, just type in amadeus soundtrack and you will find it there! Hope it helped.
@classicalAnime he may have behaved that way in real life. The book our music teacher taught from said he had a child-like laugh and was known to be childish (which may have been due to his lack of a childhood from being a child prodigy). He was also known to have crude humor (Ex. He had a song called "Leck mich im Arsch" meaning lick me in the ass) lol
"This man had written his first concerto at the age of 4...his first symphony at 7...a full-scale opera at 12!" Yes, but those works are amusing, charming, sweet, innocent, and anything but immortal. For everlasting, eternal Mozart, you really have to start with his compositions from around age 15-17.
Fair to say that Amedeus is my all time favorite movie. Absolutely brilliant plot, resplendent scenes filmed in actual palaces and world famous opera houses, never mind that the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields orchestra performs some of Mozart's most lucsious music for the musical score. I'd wager that it will be a long time until another movie of this caliber comes along.
@shiron236 obviously he was never officially diagnosed... but there are many evidences in his diary and recollections that he was autistic; his childish behaviors in adulthood, drinking problems, difficulty in finance.. all these have correlation to autism... we'll never know for sure.. but a normal mind could never have made such music... he was no normal man.. you and i know that :)
lmfao that fucken laugh at the end! If this guy started his own rock n roll band today he would have been fucken beast just as he was with classical music!
Happy Birthday!! If i had the power to bring back someone from the past, YOU would be my ONLY choice.
Gute Zum Geburtstag!! ich liebe dich Mozart.

hm i just ask myself why he conducts his piece?
i thought "the real conductor" just were invented by carl maria von weber who lived after him

My favourite scene would be the child prodigy,
is so realistic that just like the director used time machine,
sneaked into the palace or somewhere in the Pope' place
to record the performance!

@KennyParkz Mozart is not autistic or at least officially diagnosed with one. There's simply not enough evidence for it.
