Isn't it amazing how something so simple and elegant will be able to stand the test of time whereas today's hibladi hubla won't? Simplicity outlasts and influences more than everything else. Very beautiful.
Live on, live on, live on- bring joy, bring tears, bring hope to the world... Magnificent, dignified, tinted with the barest hint of sorrow but still manages to sound so PERFECT. This, my friends, is the world's soul in 6 minutes, all of what makes up human highlighted in ecstatically breathtaking detail...
My second date with the one I love, we were leaving the Plaza in my Lincoln Towncar, I was so nervous. She wrapped her arms around me when I played this melody. We were just kids. She has been wrapping them around me ever since.
I think people have just disliked this because they think classical music is stupid or dull, I'm 15 and I like certain kinds of classical music. Like this. (:
@LRB5813 they are the peeps who dont appretiae MUSIC... the so-called "music" of today is NOT music. it is just words in a shitty tone, the music of the 90's and below HAVE MEANING. to day, it doesnt, it just says, "blah blah blah s*x blah blah blah baby blah blah"...good lord what happened to music?I want to stop time and have acces to their mental world, that way i can change their songs of interests and stuff :D
@Acidlor Me and my wife did the Justice of the Peace at the courthouse, so this wasn't played then. We are saving it for our ten year anniversary. Best of luck to ya!!!
WHY are so many of the top-rated comments on classical music videos about how contemporary music is terrible? I wouldn't call Justin Bieber a musical genius, but you can't just compare music from such different contexts and time periods at the same level. Why can't everyone just enjoy the music without the added snobbery of putting down other kinds of music?
@lovok123 haha ur a funny troll.........................how'd u even get here if u think this is gay? I actually had to search for this song for a long time to find this.........lol GTFO
We walked down the aisle while musicians from our choir played this piece. Every time we listen to it, we are transported to that special day! Thank you for the pics, job well done!!!
When I listen to music like this, I say to myself "what genius and greatness." When people listen to today's music 300 years from now, they'll probably say to themselves "what the hell was wrong with people back then?"
Every time I hear this song, a shiver runs down my spine. That's how powerful this song is--I can feel it. I can't explain the feeling, you know it if it has happened to you. Out of all my classical music, Vivaldi, Bach, Beethoven, no other song causes this response. My favorite song, as it was my father's before me.
In 100 years no one will remember today's artists. Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Kesha, Bruno Mars, Coldplay etc. This music will always be remembered. Not my words, but good words.
@Jocapric I respectfully disagree with your statement and have to say there are a great many classical music lovers that are almost "snobbish" about music. I have rarely, if ever, seen a comment from a rock fan stating a negative word about classical music, and I have read my share. I am a 35+ year fan of rock and I recently expanded my musical taste. Realize, Rock is still a reasonably young genre of music. It's been around 50 years AND is going strong. It's unfair to suggest otherwise.
@Jocapric indeed, i must also disagree, as i personally, for one, love classical music, but do also very much enjoy coldplay :) now, we could get into a whole other discussion on why you're comparing coldplay to kesha.... lolol
i don't really think any music will ever be forgotten until our species dies out... everything in recent history (past 700 years or so) has been remembered, and considering we're remembering pachelbel through the internet, i'm sure in 100 years they'll remember now :D
@Jocapric People would have said the same about Beethoven, Gershwin, Elvis and the Beatles but it looks like they'll end up being wrong. Bach wasn't particularly valued for his compositions until long after he was dead. There's no telling which musicians will be remembered in 100 years but there's no reason to think that some of them won't be from today.
@Jocapric Actually agreed on with every but coldplay, coldplay's songs have an orchestra type feel which i think will be remembered. E.g Viva-la vida, paradise and clocks :)
@Jocapric It's because you don't need a musical instrument to play Lady Gaga. All you need is a CD player, a voice machine, and a stupid oufit. Then you're good to go.
@Jocapric I don't mean to criticize but you cannot put Coldplay in that group.. I understand that all those artists have shit music but Coldplay is the Beatles of our generation.. They will be remembered longer <3
there's a tiny little dot at the end of the Like bar ( yes it a LIKE bar) oh, it the dislike. You can tell the violinist really enjoyed playing this, the way he/she puts his/her heart into this..

@anabellik It was composed in the 17th century and it is beutifull. You think its not complex? Sir, try to give harmony that actually sounds good to a human ear. Todays composers, most of them, have no ideas for the beutifull, they just try to write something that has any artistical value so that people that have no idea to music can aplaude. CANNON is allways a simple piece of music and thats the way it should be. So do you think you are somene to speak about Pachelbel???
