@techclassy I've never tried the AE2i's, but i used to have the Bose iE2's and the Beats Tour, and this is being not biased at all, i prefer the Beats, this is simply because it doesn't have noise isolation, and also im more of a bass person, which the Beats had more of. I would say the Bose are more comfortable, but the Beats look nicer (IMO) and has more bass.
@iPLAYtheSTAT1ON i have the Tours too :D but im searching for new earphones to get and i want them to be better than the Tours in terms of sound quality, and im a student and i ride the bus to school so i wanna know whether the Bose IE2s would be suitable for me, and i workout quite a bit, just to put it in there :P

Very good review. I just recently got these headphones but I made the dumbest mistake of getting the MIE2 instead of the MIE2i... Yes they are the same price just ones better than the other... I didn't know... Wish I would of seen this review before buying them. Overall, they are a beauty.
I mostly got them because of the ear tip shape because they are truly the most comfortable not only in ear but most comfortable headphones I have ever tried period. As for the sound I already know its great because so far the best in ear headphones I have ever tried or heard before we're some crappy skull candies so I know I'll be satisfied with these.
Omg my favorite part is all the bass! My brother was like "Callie, can you hear me?" when I was wearing them and I saw his lips moving which is the only reason why I knew what he was saying. Sooo much better than beats.

get the x10i by klipsch which is their flagship model which many people have never heard of. they are as clear as IEMs but have bass that is as strong as beats studio without overpowering
I bought theme and they are really good. I got the ones with control talk and it works really well with a blackberry ipod and i phone. The sound is amazing and they even have good bass. I f monster beats are to expensive for you I really recommend you go for these ones because they have a bit of bass.

umm quin...... the old bose in ear model you have is fake. On the bottom part of the headphone, the black rubber thing, one side is supposed to have a hologram.

The peace that you dont know what it is is actually a microchip the equalizes the sound. I have the old ones, and seeing the new ones, i could tell that bose relocated it for the Y division and reduced the size. Nice improvement. Cant wait to buy mine. Greetings from Brazil.

IMO, Klipsh S4i's are horrible. I purchased those this weekend and I un-boxed them as soon as I got in my car. I heard nothing but treble. They literally sounded like tweeters; nothing but highs no bass. I took them straight back and exchanged them for the Bose MIE2 and never looked back. These are hands down better than Klipsh S4i's. IMO - Klipsh S4i's = Tweeter; Bose MEI2's = The whole stereo system sound in your ear...sub woofer, mids and highs. They are amazing...TM Bose sound!
@incognitoTLM Bose is mediocre in terms of what you pay, and the bass is disgustingly overpowering. The S4i take about 80 hours of burn in to bring that treble down. After about a week, the bass really starts to prominently penetrate through the track.

Sadly I have the older gen headphones.. living in Singapore affected the plastic insulating casing. After a few months the casing split. Brought them in for replacement then my replacement set had the same issue; unfortunately the warranty expired there after. Seeking help again the only recourse I was given was to 'upgrade' to the MIE2.
Im pretty sure that they put the controller that high was because if you run it threw your shirt or jacket you're able to reach it without digging into your top.
The design of bose is just incredible, the eartips stay in your ears under the harshest circumstances. Definitely the best pair of workout earphones i've ever had. The design was not really emphasized enough in this video in my opinion but a good review nonetheless.

@laz3rb33m yes you the silicone bud attachments are universal to both headsets. As stated the IE2 has much better sound quality that the older IE. The caseing is the same shape/size of the older generation, but the internals are totally changed to provide higher sound fidelity.
What in-ear canal headphones would you recommend to me under 50$? I listen to rap/hip-hop, and some dubstep I don't really know much about the terminology of music but I want them to have really good bass, yet I don't want it to drown out all of the other aspects of the song. Nice video. A question: How long is the cable? The Apple in-ear are long (for a short person). Is this shorter than the Apple? Another question: If you wear this and play music loud, can someone hear you who is standing by? Some headphones can create a disturbance.
@myvideoreviewer from my experience, these sound twice as loud as the standard apple earbuds. i normally have my apple buds at 1/2 power on my ipod. now i only need 1/4 power. I did put these to full power a few times, you can still hear them, but its not as noticeable as the apple ones.
I cant believe you can say that Bose is over priced when everything Monster puts out is a little higher..The Bose products are built better and considering that these Bose Ie2's dont cram all in your ear and dont seal off...they sound Great!!! These are in a catagory all to them selfs..The Klipsch for example seals in your ear.Its easier to get a better sound that way.But they are not as comfortable as the Bose..I highly recommend these to the KLIPSCH and Monster beats!!! Klipsch is to thin weak

I don't think it would be very hard to beat the tours at all, or any bose headphone in terms of SQ.

i have the old in ears and i heard somewhere that the black thing near the 3.5mm jack is an equalizer which allows you to turn the music up very loud without blowing the speaker (unlike apple earbuds :P). also, do you know if bose would let me trade in my old in ears and buy the mie2i's for a discounted price?

Sadly I have the older gen headphones.. living in Singapore affected the plastic insulating casing. After a few months the casing split. Brought them in for replacement then my replacement set had the same issue; unfortunately the warranty expired there after. Seeking help again the only recourse I was given was to 'upgrade' to the MIE2.

Im pretty sure that they put the controller that high was because if you run it threw your shirt or jacket you're able to reach it without digging into your top.

The design of bose is just incredible, the eartips stay in your ears under the harshest circumstances. Definitely the best pair of workout earphones i've ever had. The design was not really emphasized enough in this video in my opinion but a good review nonetheless.

hey can somone plz answer this question? is there adifference other than the shape of the bud between the ie and the ie2? can i buy the ie and buy a pair of ie2 buds and use those on the ie's?

@laz3rb33m yes you the silicone bud attachments are universal to both headsets. As stated the IE2 has much better sound quality that the older IE. The caseing is the same shape/size of the older generation, but the internals are totally changed to provide higher sound fidelity.

What in-ear canal headphones would you recommend to me under 50$? I listen to rap/hip-hop, and some dubstep I don't really know much about the terminology of music but I want them to have really good bass, yet I don't want it to drown out all of the other aspects of the song. Nice video. A question: How long is the cable? The Apple in-ear are long (for a short person). Is this shorter than the Apple? Another question: If you wear this and play music loud, can someone hear you who is standing by? Some headphones can create a disturbance.

@myvideoreviewer from my experience, these sound twice as loud as the standard apple earbuds. i normally have my apple buds at 1/2 power on my ipod. now i only need 1/4 power. I did put these to full power a few times, you can still hear them, but its not as noticeable as the apple ones.

I cant believe you can say that Bose is over priced when everything Monster puts out is a little higher..The Bose products are built better and considering that these Bose Ie2's dont cram all in your ear and dont seal off...they sound Great!!! These are in a catagory all to them selfs..The Klipsch for example seals in your ear.Its easier to get a better sound that way.But they are not as comfortable as the Bose..I highly recommend these to the KLIPSCH and Monster beats!!! Klipsch is to thin weak

i dont know if you have reviewed these before, but the Philips SHE9755 are definitely worth reviewing, i am usually cheap on earphones and these are the most expensive i bought and i was amazed, how do they compare to these or other more expensive models? just if yu do review these, u might wanna mention one of ur viewers (me) has put them in the washing machine thrice and they still work great
