I have this, it is a special feature on the old Anchor Bay DVD from 2001. Warren lived hard and played hard, which probably explains his early death. Not Crap forever.
Please please please please please please upload the full version of this documentary. I could love to see the whole thing & would be eternally grateful if you could find your way to uploading the rest of this.
Thom... Glad to see this got you started down that road. You gave my Father a continued presence, even after his passing, and am thankful to have such to turn to. I like the fine compilation of roles he portrayed, yet each, showing my Dad's self and who he actually was in each. Cheers, sir, and hope this finds you well.
Yep these guys made films with guts, not like the silly scripts, glamour and special effects you usually see from Hollywood these days.... Shame Oates didn't have many starring roles though!
You can try and save it as .mkv or even .wmv if you like. Might be because your trying to upload a big file and youtube may have trouble converting it to its own .flv format.... Warren Oates was Peckinpah's favourite actor by the way.... These guys are legends!!!!!
@dcikaruga Oh, and as far as Warren Oates and Peckinpah go I love both of those guys. Warren Oates was put to great use by both Peckinpah and Hellman, but I think Peter Fonda's 1971 western "The Hired Hand" is especially beautiful. Thomas McGuane's 1975 adaptation of his own novel, "92 in the shade" is also amazing. Warren was born to play that character! As far as Bloody Sam goes, he is my favorite director. I've seen "The Wild Bunch" at least 20 times!
@dcikaruga My personal favorite Peckinpah moveis are "Pat Garrett & Billy The Kid", "Bring Me The Head Of Alfredo Garcia" though, but "The Wild Bunch" is a stone cold classic and along with "Pat Garrett" the finest western ever made, hell, finest movie ever made! "Pat Garrett" is not a movie, it's a poem. And Coburn is amazing in it!
@dcikaruga Yeah, it's an avi file. Nothing fancy, I just used windows movie maker. I'm not that great with this stuff, I just wanted to share it. I'll try to upload the rest soon.
@irishmaniac98 I'm having trouble with the upload, it stops halfway through. I'll try it again tonight though. I hope to be able to share the rest of this with you all real soon. Thank you for watching. Warren was one of a kind!
