if it was just a plain open map space the map will be no fun at all!! they added plant life to make it look more fun and more effect to hide and all that. if it was just a plain map there will be just a bunch of rough volcanic land with no place to take cover at all. thats why they added all this awesome stuff. i also think it looks better like this

well....i just played multiplayer in my friend's house and is way better because his PC, he has XP while i have Vista and even tough Vista is newer it sucks.... when i play halo combat evolved i have the same issues playing online, there is something no compatible and i been trying to find a patch for it but haven't find it...

nothing on this island in the game looks nothing like it i say bf1942 version is 100x better. ok i dont remember seeing a village on the beach. and iwo had brown gray black sand. mostly black, but white sand? no. mt suribachi is small should be taller. and barely any palm trees were on the island. they were all burnt and broken down trees. and wtf is a light house doing on the island. there was no light house.

The Iwo Jima level is a lie. On the real Iwo, there were absolutely no trees, grass, or light colored sands like the game depicts. Because it is a volcanic island all the sand is/should be black and no features such as pillboxes and other structures like radio heads or barracks. They should really re-do this level. All the others look alright.

yes but you do know that in World War 2 the Japanese occupied this island and built stationary emplacements such as pill boxes. And Iwo Jima did have trees and vegetation. Just because it's a volcano...doesn't mean it's barren. Look at Hawaii.

What the hell??? That looks *NOTHING* like Iwo Jima when the Marines landed on Feb. 19, 1943 (*NOT* Nov. 16, 1943). The island was covered in black sand and was desolate of all vegetation from being shelled. Fail harder, EA.
