The group members went their separate ways after leaving Virgin Records due to creative differences and silently broke up. Despite this, in 1997, the Edmonds brothers released a cover of Hall & Oates' "Sara Smile" as a single (and sole new track) from the career retrospective The Very Best of After 7 before completely stopping releases under the group's name.
After 7 were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo underrated!!! They are all great vocalist. Kevon's voice is simply amazing and the uniqueness of it made every song so special. LOVE them!
i love this song this is my babymama favorite song when we were together and she got in my kar she would always ask me "where that cd at" and "what number is that song"
When will you people learn? Another video that has someones name and logo through the whole video not only is it annoying as hell that's one of the main reasons why record company's either mute or take the video down all together. It pisses off the record company when people do that yet people still do it...

There are a LOT of inspirational messages from Bishop T.D Jakes, Bishop Noel Jones, Dr. Jamal Bryant, as well as complete episodes of my favorite TV shows like "TV One's Unsung", "I hate Chris" etc....You'll also find videos of my favorite music artist's like Marvin Gaye, Enchantment, Al Green & Gospel Music !
I know a couple who walked down the aile to this song everything was so pretty and later the groom sung the song himself to her . He was in a band . The reception hall was lit up like a elegant ball room . It was a beautiful evening , very very lovely
And as we sit here and type these things about this being real music, we forget the people that came before us saying that about sarah vaughn and bessie smith, and we ignore that in 10 years people will be on youtube making these comments about people like waka flaka
@raynarayskye It's all according to generation then obviously, because you won't find everyone saying Waka Flaka made memorable music. Maybe Wiz Khalifa. Out of all the people you could've named, Waka Flaka? Really?
How about someone with MAJOR mainstream appeal like T.I. at least?
Thumbs up for a beautiful rendition. Both songs "Baby I'm for real" by The Originals and "Natural High" by Bloodstone are amongst my favorites and I known those guys would be proud of how they were put together and performed by After 7.
I love this song, so sweet and I cosign on the others stating that music like this are dead and no longer part of radio rotations or coming from the filthy music industry. Its like every time I hear a song from the radio, It blows my ears in disbelief. There's this new song that came out, don't know the artists' or song's name but the verse, sing by a female, is singing about cheating on their man with a "baller that's got mo money...and she's gonna give him the couchie" enough said.
This is when music moved you. I love after seven!!! I dont hear music like this anymore, but I wish I did. This music reminds me of a time when love and romance was the norm. When men and women really new how to make one another feel good using music as a tool.
Great remake! WOW Kevon is sooooooo underrated!!! And uhhhhh the little slow grind at the end is HOT. I saw this on Soul Story the other night, I had forgotten about this song............SO HAPPY I was refreshed to it.
Case in point. The great Marvin Gaye and Gladys Knight & The Pips both did "Heard it though the Grapevine" Release almost the same year. Both versions were different, but both were GREAT.
Man...This joint reminds me of freshman year in college! May The Lord bless good music.....Timeless. The celebration of love will never go out of style!!!!!

TODAY they take a classic song and butcher it and the kids think it is a new beat..but not knowing the song has been out for more than 20 yrs or more! i love this song- they put all their heart and soul into it
yea, I agree...I remember when Puff Daddy/ P. Also even though i was a little one when this came out i must admit Kevon is a cutie lol
yeahhh lol there is this guy that i just started to date and im in Looove lol so we were at his place and listen to some music and just talked and drank some wine and drinks...and he had candle l ights all over the place then when i put this song on he took my hand and we started to dance...it was sooooo nice damn i miss slow dancing lol but for some reason we do that every friday now :)))
gosh i am jealous......seems men nowadays dont believe in all that romance...i miss it so much...you go girl!...i have not slow danced in years and I am a young 36 yr old...how shameful is that!
oh gurl this man blow me away...never in my wild dreams i thought that i would meet some1 like him...we were at his house drank some wine , talking having a real nice time and when i put this 1 one he just looked into my eyes kissed my hand and lead me up and then we started to dance and he sang it to me while we danced...we have been dating now for 4 months and he is like that every sec..ha always always has to kiss me or touch me even when i go into another room he run after me just to hold me
If you like this you might wanna check out their inspiration: "Baby I'm for Real" by The Originals and "Natural High" by Bloodstone.
