i agree. even when the groups in the 80's and 90's remade a song from the 60's or 70's they still did to where it was a hit and everyone can groove to it and did it with class and tastefulness. TODAY they take a classic song and butcher it and the kids think it is a new beat..but not knowing the song has been out for more than 20 yrs or more! i love this song- they put all their heart and soul into it

Diddy had a little boy group called B5, and he had them remake, "All I Do Is Think of You" and a lot kids were thinking it was new, then there were a lot of ppl wondering why they messed up "Troop's" song, but a lot of ppl don't know the Jackson 5 did the song before Troop... but I guess that's an example of a 90's group doing a 70's song justice!

@ashR66 Many artists do their own versions of songs. It doesn't matters who "did the song first." What's important is they do a good job. For example, in the 40s and 50s many artists released their own versions of the same song. You could have 20 different versions of one song. The emphasis was on the artist's vocal prowess and not from where the song originated. Just because you do the song first does not mean you are exempt from criticism. But, I do agree Troop's version was amazing.
