@mousy128 Has nothing to do with the maintenance factor. Rotaries are amazing machines. No doubt a 2jz is one of the strongest JDM motors a properly built rotary could give any 2jz a run for it's money.
hey bro, this swap is ingenius and i plan on doing the same to my 93 FD when i get back from africa...i love the beauty of the rx7 bodywork along with the power of the 2JZ, the perfect car in my point of view. One question, how much did you end up spending after the whole swap and what is your current setup, it doesnt sound like stock twins to me...please fill me in. Also, are there any clubs out there getting started with 2JZ swapped rx7's?

@tmoneyRX7 Sir, I really like your swap. But, to be honest, good sir, the RX7 FD3S is concepted as well balanced handling machine in combination with the rotary. But if you put a heavy 2JZ in that well balanaced FD, youve got a hard understeering in the corners unless your not kicking the clutch.

@pinkpanthercow rotary is not 1.3l it's actually 2.8 liters in actual displacement, and the "6 second rotary" was actually done with 3 rotor engine which is actually almost 4.2 liters in a tiny tube chasis race only car, it has NOTHING to do with reality. Rotary engine is amazing in the concept, but in reality nothing beats putting LS1 or 2JZ in lightweight RX-7 body. :)
