I bought this Samsung Galaxy P1000 tab and it does everything, From internet connection, WIFI 3G HSDA name it. it also has bluetooth you can pair it to your car for phone calls and music. it can read most downloaded movie format esp AVI, MP4. I can call text, send photos from this TAB to other mobile phones and I can also receive MMS or other files included, it can read pdf files and most ADOBE products. I installed Antivirus only cheap and it does filter mt TAB from SPAMS and unreliable APPS.

if you're a practical type of person and you want a Tablet PC, then go to Samsung galaxy tab. it has everything you need. widgets, applications and office apps like word/excel/powerpoint/acrobat reader plus voice recognition and voice reader and it's available in different languages.

Btw, this is not the same as ipad. they're very different in many ways, so don't compare. just be practical to your self, Samsung galaxy tab is cheaper than ipad 1 or 2 & the quality of the galaxy tab is very good.

I'd still pick the iPad over the Tab because of its iOS market and the smoothness of the OS.

Android is all laggy and if the Tab is just as slow as the Galaxy S i9000 there's no point in buying this thing at all.

Okay I may take back the laggy, but it's slow as shit. If I click the icon to browse my contacts or even launch the phone I need to wait at least 3 seconds (if I'm lucky) before it actually loaded.

iOS doesn't have this lagg.

Plus webbrowsing is way smoother on iOS and even on WP7 than on Android.

The only thing Android owns at in the browsing area is of course flash which I enjoy very much.

@LanteanKnight I can only speak for myself and my htc desire running froyo. This device runs smooth as hell, no lag whatsoever. At least on a par with the iphone 4.

But, to be honest, I of course cannot judge the device presented in this video as I haven't had my hands on it yet.

Well the Galaxy Tab is supposedly very similar to the Galaxy S i900 so let me rephrase: if it deals with the same infamous lag of the Galaxy S I would definitely choose the iPad over the Tab.

wall street journal tech cited it the thing is its not something you can pick up at a regular store it comes from your phone provider.

My guess is, it will either come unlocked or something, or it will go down as a plan like a phone would like a 2 year plan or something which does suck imo id rather just buy one without restriction like an ipad, its much like a smart phone and usually smart phones are around 200 since it runs on the android OS that is probably where the price came from.
