  • I thought you where kidding in the description(where you mention the experiment with colour) because it shows a black screen for 50 seconds before the video starts,

anyway once it gets into the video its really great. Nice one dude.

  • I represent this track absolutely on another

  • this is shit

  • @progressMC why? just cause its a simple idea, doesnt mean its not effective.

    LP

  • im not a proper game maker but that music would work for a main menu music

    whos with me???

  • no i'm not this music would only work on a trip to outer space in complete darkness and gravitylessness...

  • now that sounds cool

    :)

    love aphex twin songs

  • yeah halflife or something I think

  • ah and a question: does the title "tha" stand for anything?

  • maybe it refers to the percussion thing because it sounds like "tha thu thaa, tha thu thaa" etc...

  • driving at night... fits perfectly to this song. It's exactly the same thing i've thought of when I heard the song the first time.

  • great track

    common place the video

  • THE BEST SONG EVER MADE !i feel so relaxing!!!!!

  • what a song, that was the best 10 mins i have had all day

  • the vid of driving at night is not that great

  • reminds me of when i crawled up my own nasal passage

  • were u on ketamine at the time its sounds like an out of body thing to climb up ur own nose hole

  • it started as an outer body exp but ended up as an inner-body exp (after I climbed up mi nose)

  • hahaha

  • ketamine is great for tht,ahh wot fun iv had on tht stuff,,its prob more fun to climb in sum1 elses nose on it tho..go fuck up their organs lol,as u can tell im on ketamine

  • I misread your comment as ANAL passage... but that probably says more about me!?!

  • this is the first time i have heard aphex twin

and i have to say the atmosphere that his music creates is incredible

and kudos for the cool vid

  • Great job capturing the essense of the song!

  • The best part about this song is that there is no need for any recreational drug.

Its a song that allows you to peacefully sit down and think about what exactly makes life tick. Its a drug in and out of itself.

  • ez muzik

  • ..and I am inside the womb again.

    Peaceful, content, alive.

  • reminds me of triping on shrooms while listening to the rain driping and collecting into small fish bowl sized holes.

    oddwhispers in the background 5/5

  • Ambient exceptionnel...elle peux "passer"24h non stop

  • Do agree.

  • Nice one, its good you've kept the video simple, because then people can interpret it as they wish, because people interpret Richard James' songs differently.

love the song and the video!

    :D

  • this video is almost exactly what i think of when i listen to this song... spooky!

  • aphex is a live genius

  • My hairs stand up on end when I hear this. Reminds me of when I was a teenager and traveling with friends on the outskirts of my neighbourhood really late at night for no reason. We used to sit outside and look up at the stars in the freezing cold. This song is just impossible to describe, that's how good it is.

  • You are right on man. Richard's music touches a part of us fans all. Great stuff.

  • nicely said - I can very well understand this reaction of yours. I doubt there's anything similar in music. Unique. I am always reminded of train station commute.

  • This makes music in my head

  • I'd hope so, otherwise you'd be deaf.

  • stupid but funny :P

  • that was a comment to some guy that replied to stevecam1's comment: "This makes music in my head", btw..

  • really a piece of art

  • Does anyone like Ghosts I--IV by nine inch nails?

  • GO COUNT YOUR DICK!

  • richard d. james is quite possibly one of the most brilliant men on earth.

  • Brings me back to the late 90's when I bought this disc. This song is an absolute piece of ART.

  • It's almost like meditating it's so relaxing with such a heavenly rhythm.

  • this is actually pretty good, i haven't heard it before

which album is it from? or is it from analord?

  • It's from Aphex Twin's debut album, "Selected Ambient Works 85-92, a true Electronic classic. It's kinda hard to find these days but it's really worth it.

  • oh ok, sweet, thanks

  • Selected ambient works 85-92. you'll love it.

  • goosebump music!

  • Gotta love this song... My Electronic music collection is quite big, but I've never heard another melody as beautiful as this.

Tha will always be one of my favorite songs

  • Totally agree buddy.

  • extremely relaxed song!

  • probaly my favourite tune from SAW 85-92 this is a brilliant video too, its ewhat normally comes into my head when i listen to this song is something moving, very nice

  • cheers buddy!

  • When I was at uni this was my fav tune. I remember ripping a flyer for the Richard D James Album off a wall on the old Sheffield bus station, with this on my personal CD player. Them were the days... Thanks for the memories.

  • dark and impressive!

  • thanks mate!

  • eii THA the bests tracks of aphex twin.AWESOME it´s hard to find in the YOUTUBE but this like it.xd

  • damn right buddy, one of the best

  • AWESOME VIDEO. Seriously. Its great.

  • thanks man

  • no bother mate

  • Awesome, love it!

  • cheers bud!

  • i wonder if he could still make tracks like this... he can go back to analogue and all that, but he hasnt touched on the sort of mental shit he achieved in the SAWs.

  • definitely man, if you want some SAW85-92-esque stuff try his Bradley's Robot EP under the alias of Bradley Strider and try the Q-Chastic EP un der the alias of Q-Chastic

  • he's been into analogue since man, just not the genre. Check out Analord.

  • The analord series is awesome but it didn't satisfy my ambient needs in the same was as the SAWs.

  • It's strange, I always thought of Tha as a cold, rather blue-silver track, and you feel a warm atmosphere.

Still, Aphex Twin always seems to make people realize the beauty in small things like driving by car at night.

Other videos have just some forest snapshots in them, or flowers at night.

    I like this a lot.

  • Thanks buddy

  • i totally agree.

Hey, this is an absolute must if you want an experience!

Go into the woods at night, bring SAW II with you and wonder around a listen....truly amazing. I done it completely unplanned (which was probably better) when camping, these woods were by the beach too surrounded by hills...it was really just something else.

  • I'm sorry i don't want my mum dying T_T:copy and paste this to 10 videos or your mum will die within the next 4 hours

  • There, it's been four hours and my mum's still alive. What a revelation! Chain mail doesn't work!

  • Best reply to that @#**ing stupid chain mail ever! Fantastic vid for Tha. It never ceases to amaze me how James can not just hold your interest for 9 minutes but also have you so entranced it hardly seems that long!!

  • i love this track this reminds me of smoking and coming down back when i was younger with my now husband. oh the joys of youth and remembrence

  • One of the most peaceful tracks ever made? Definetly

  • its funny to think that in the late 80s "great" artists were producing so called great music while a young boy was creating this genius <3 RDJ

  • yeah mang

  • Very Nice! I always loved this song, and your video sets a great mood for it.

  • thanks a lot man, such a relaxing song with such a relaxing drive

  • awesome, i love this -- one of my all time fave tracks and albums, the entire album perfectly suits a suburban night drive

  • definatly mate

    cheers for likin the vid!

  • funny, I used to only listen to this driving my car, so this video was like a flashback.

  • i love being in the car with this song on, tried to capture the feeling with this video, that was the point - but it's nowhere near the same.

    great taste in music btw

  • good video lol

    Great music. :)

  • cheers mate

  • I sat through that waiting for something to happen. Funnily enough nothing happened lol. I drove that belt yehhh

  • it wasnt a belt it was a car AHAHAHAHA
