  • I searched for this after Jerry McGuire too !

  • There's also a version with words called just plain old "Junk". Both are awesome, but I like the singalong version better.

  • It's simply lovely and beautiful

  • I found this song so beautiful ever since I discovered it aged about 10. It evokes such beautiful landscapes and feelings.

  • His songs will live on forever......even after he has left this life.

  • great song

  • I love all Paul's stuff on this album. So tender and yet simple that it drives an arrow right throw your heart. One of the greatest composers in my lifetime.

  • I have been looking for this hauntingly beautiful song since I randomly heard it once in 1996 :| ...1996!!!!!!

*breaks down into tears* ............my life is complete. I already died and went to heaven. I cant even put into words what this song does to me....

  • @unwell7847 i love when songs do this to me. and i love that you found this song again. there are so many i've lost over the years...

  • @unwell7847:

I THOUGHT I WAS THE ONLY ONE!!!! I've been looking EVERYWHERE since I heard the song in the movie 'Jerry Maguire' back in 1996... the song had me captivated ever since! Never knew the name, or the composer. I just found out that this song belongs the great Paul McCartney. This song evokes your deepest feelings to stir, whatever they may be... If I could keep this song on repeat, I'd be the happiest woman for the rest of my days

  • @Dominichocolate Me too lol when I first found it I had it on repeat nonstop for a week :| ohhh paul mccartney u freakin genius!

  • @Dominichocolate Me too ... well, not happiest woman but man. Ha ha!

  • Paul always admired the songwriter Cole Porter, and aspired to be a great songwriter like him

  • You can almost smell the weed he was smoking before he pressed "record". As is the case with most of Paul's best work, I think.

  • @alexmortland What the hell is your intention to post just a disgusting comment like this! It's just unfair, MacCa is/was/ and will be great for ever. Go away and return to your shitty metal collection.

  • @JesseReith1 I'm just saying, this album (and "Ram", and "Band On The Run".... Paul's best non-Beatle albums, in other words) sound to ME like the work of a big 'ol reefer smoker. Which Paul was (is?). Besides, I know Paul McCartney's great, goddamnit. It's obvious! He's the greatest pop-song composer on the planet, guy! Chill. Also, metal is awesome. Except for Anthrax.

  • Also, this track might be the most beautiful thing Paul's done in his life, Beatles or no Beatles. If not, it's a close second to "You Never Give Me Your Money".

  • @alexmortland Okay, I understand your opinion ;-). Cheers!

  • I've heard an orchestral version of this song... it's in the background of some extras of his Live at Red Square concert... In which album can I find it? Maybe one of classical projects?

  • @beatlesdylanyes

    Junk was on working Classical.

  • This song is great both with and without vocals, but there's one person who missed the like button, do you know who that is? Because I believe he or she is tone deaf

  • try to listen to the song with headphones, its fantastic!

    Long live Paul

  • God....so beautiful. A perfect song. Sir Paul is one of the most talented musicians. I have had the pleasure of seeing him in concert. First heard this in the movie "Jerry Maguire".

  • @sassyshannen awesome me too, this movie rocks

  • This is not "Sing Along Junk" damn it. This is "Junk" there's a difference. Sing Along Junk, is on his first solo album "McCartney"

  • They're both on 'McCartney'.

This is the instrumental -- hence 'singalong' included in its title -- just preceding 'Maybe I'm Amazed' towards the end of the album.

'Junk' is track 6; placing it on almost the same spot on what was then referred to as Side 1.

  • Paul should do another album like this.

  • paul make this albun alone! with only linda in the backing vocal in a few songs...

    paul is a genius!

  • memories, this beautiful version was used by Radio Veronica during their last broadcast Hour on the medium wave radio band, their final hour from 17.00 till 18.00 hour. and sadly the end of another great pirate station

  • august 31 summer 1974 radio veronica

  • this is the that i have heard

  • WHAT A BEAUTIFUL SONG! and i'm not even a beatle fan. but this song just makes me wanna cry!

  • yes, because McCartney is considered the greatest melodic genius songwriter of XX th century...

  • So beauitful. I believe Paul is playing all parts on the whole album. It was recorded at home on would you believe- an 8 track recorder.

  • Man alive! Paul McCartney is such a wonderful composer. This song is just pure bliss.

  • yeah true, not out to have a go, just love this melody, what you say is valid OK?

  • no paro de escuchar esta melodia, tal vez una de las mejores que he escuchado en mi vida, y solo es el genio de paul mccartney,, solo el pudo hacer algo tan sublime,,, aun puedo sentir la melodia en mis oidos, gracias paul

  • Does anyone think this kinda sounds like John Lennon's 'Oh My Love' from the imagine album?

  • It's got the same kind of vibe at times, good catch.

  • @TennisNick No, not at all really

  • Well, we're talking about "vibe", so nothing really quantifiable, not surprised to find people of varying opinions! lol

  • a beautiful song.

  • F-A-N-T-A-S-T-I-C-!

  • Mellotron...they should have called it the Melancholytron. Wonderful

  • @djminimoto...... I lived there from 69 thru late 70, So it must have been sometime in that period. I actually lived in Berkeley, but spent a lot of time in the city.

  • If someone asks you what pure musical talent is, you could play them this.

  • MOST TALENTED MAN ON EARTH

  • 123 wright now dot com

  • This is absolutely wonderful. Such a beautiful melody.

  • Macca rulez

  • I was in San Fran, and saw in the paper that Paul was dead. Sorry, but that kind of talent can't be duped by someone else.

  • When were you in S.F. when you heard this?

  • preciosa

  • Beautiful.

  • Love it,thanks.

  • the one with George is better

  • Actually, 'the one with George' is just Paul double-tracked. He sang the lead himself, then recorded the backing and put it together as one song. Fact!

  • to this song, i imagine lying down and someone i love just staring into my eyes.

it's really pretty piece. aww paul.

  • ok i had any body has it please post thanks.this album on 8 track but it's gone . can't remember the name of the track but it's paul doing solo on drums ,and fill ins .

  • masterpiece, brilliant! everlasting song!

  • That song has a genuine sense of nostalgia attached to it. It's a great piece of music, one of Paul's best.

  • Brilliant is right.....

  • Paul gives the instrumental treatment of his original song a step higher to Mount Everest of talent and music. Brilliant!

  • written by paul

  • hehe I think bossy was kidding... it was in the film Jerry Maguire and written by paul... he.she just said it backwards...

  • uhauhauhauhauhahuauhahuuah!! yep...

  • i love this song... always cry....

  • wow the best mccartney tune and possibly the best tune in the history of us as humans, this guy is simply the best music writer in history of humans, my only question is, why mccartney has never do a live show on space??? like in the moon, that would be awsome

  • Ha ha..u wouldn't happen to be smoking grass right now would you? Wat a hippy comment:)

  • I love this melody! Thanks for posting.

  • Thank you for sharing this. I have the album but nothing to play it on. This is Great

  • paul macartney. we all love paul macartney.

  • pure. Did everyone saw the movie Jerry Maguire?
