  • Yeah, and there's a similar problem with the drummer guy too, isn't there? He set up his kit completely the wrong way round too! :)

  • The guitarist couldn't play the solo properly because he's holding the guitar the wrong way round. Such a fundamental error during what was an otherwise great performance...

  • the last 35 years , i am trying to find an equal drummer to Ian Paice , but i cant,

maybe only Ginger Baker can stand beside him .

he is really by far no1 drum master in rock!!

  • @fp1000100 The best ever!!

  • try having a listen to Mr Neil Peart--RUSH

  • @fp1000100 Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy), to me, is the man closest to Ian Paice in terms of technical ability and feel. But he did play on the Funky Junction Tribute to Deep Purple album, and sounded amazing on Fireball and Hush especially.

Anyway, Paice has always sounded incredible.

  • A voice that sounds like Ian Gillan singing a song sung by David Coverdale.

I always wondered what that would sound like.

  • @NightmareSnake Yeah, we have to wonder, cos Big Ian would never show us! ;-) He once told me that he had never heard Burn, and never heard Stormbringer... I mean it's a famous story about him, but I heard it with my own two ears, and couldn't believe it. ;-)

  • @CryFreeVideo Yeah I highly doubt that's true. The story I heard was that Gillan won't perform any Coverdale or Turner albums live out of respect. But still, I'd love to hear those live.

  • @NightmareSnake I know a lot of people (fans/friends) who refuse to go to shows of the current line-up of Deep Purple just because they don't play mk3-4 songs! What's also interesting is that Ian never had any problem singing mk1 stuff! When Turner joined I was very excited that Burn or Mistreated can be reintroduced, so when I heard the opener Burn live in 1991 I went wild! ;)

But if we stop to think about what those songs would sound like with Ian's voice, I think we drop the idea... ;)

  • @CryFreeVideo As much as I usually say that Turner was the worst singer DP ever had (only by default, he's still amazing), that tour was probably the best tour they ever did due to the integration of every era of the band's history.

  • Congratulations bros!!!wonderful performance!!!

  • @sillyilly He sure was! :) And so were we, of course... :) We were all just looking at each other smiling that we could cooperate so amazingly well without having rehearsed one minute! Pure magic!

    Thanx a lot.

  • @sillyilly He's not ian gillan, you know ? a friend !

  • cool guitar sound

    what do you use?

  • @kakahich Thanks man!

I think I was using a Standard American Strat, a Radial Tonebone Trimode overdrive pedal and a hungarian hand made 50W combo amp, called GREG. Maybe some delay from the Line 6 M13.
