Has autodesk inventor superseded autocad 3d,im not sure which would be the better one to invest my time in ?.

Inventor is WAY better.

it has really easy 3d editing.

inventor's real competition is solidworks, both blow autoCAD out of the water.

What i`d like to know is whether inventor is a progression from autocad or a competitor.

I know autocad already but had`nt heard of inventor before.

And i see you`re still at school, is inventor something that's taught on the curriculum where you are from,and how long has it been going for.

So many questions, so little time.

It's not in the curriculum, but that's cuz there are almost no engineering classes.

Inventor is definitely a progression of autoCAD. I've used both, and Inventor is a lot more intuitive. although it still helps to see a few tutorials like this one.
