The greenpeace movement, and all of the left wing environmentalist movement, is little more that a tool for the globalists and new world order masters. Obama was ordered to leave the spill tragedy develop as much as possible to now strengthen the agenda of his puppet masters. Aided by these stunts by the greenpeace idiots who are funded by globalist transnationals and big banks, Obama will push for more anti-development policies and carbon taxes.
Visually very effective. Well done, demonstrators! People's attention needs to be drawn to this very serious issue. The multinational corporations are poisoning this planet in their quest for profit. Not only is marine life being destroyed on a massive scale and people in the worst-affected areas losing their livelihoods, but countries much further away such as Britain who are situated on the path of the gulf stream can expect to see an increase in cancers caused by consumption of affected fish.
@skog77 Oil spills happen and BP is doing whatever it can to remedy the situation. Morons like greenpeace, with their pointless protesting of the death of a few sea lions and fish, aren't contributing anything. greenpeace are bunch of shameless opportunists who need to get a life.
@FlyingPig1902 Not to mention the thousands of people who have lost their livelyhoods and are being screwed out of a fair compensation. And you're angry about the whistleblowers.
@FlyingPig1902 Oil spills happen, and this one happened due to gross negligence. The cost of regular inspections was considered to reduce profitability by an unacceptable amount, so they decided to bribe some US senators into letting them run without inspections instead.
And you have the unmitigated gall to call Greenpeace the opportunists here?
I am not condoning any of BP's actions. Oil companies have done this in the past as well, and it happens in other industries too. But do you really think that GREENPEACE is protesting this ? I don't think they are.
I can't look into Greenpeace's motives but I've never had cause to doubt their sincerity. It's possible they are corrupt somehow, but I've personally never seen evidence to that effect.
What I have seen over the past decades is protest time and again against these companies that shirk their responsibilities and destroy the lives of thousands to make a quick buck. The US obviously gets more attention than some 3rd world country, so of course they want to exploit this event for their cause.

@MonyMG1959 No one, not even Greenpeace, says we should never use any energy for anything. That's just stupid.
