From what I can see this kid is playing some pretty poor competition. Not his fault but he's in for a rude awakening when he see's how the 1's practice at Nebraska. More power to him if he sees the field this year.

nebraska,s defense this year, espically towards the last of the seaon, was dominating.. look at the defensive coaches they have,,,,lots of pro experience, and bo knows defense

Cooper would have a chance to play very early at Nebraska (due to Senior graduation) or Illinois (due to lack of coaching). The only difference is that Nebraska's coaching staff would make him the best possible defensive player he could be - I don't know that that would happen at Illinois. There is no place like Nebraska.

Notre Dame - Might be better in a couple of years but suck right now.

Arizona - Nice weather. Basketball school

Nebraska - Program on the rise. Top ten team next year with fantastic defense. Probably a chance to play early

At least at U of I you can take a two hour bus ride and go back home or to the third largest city in the US and actually do something other than harvest corn. U of I had three top twenty recruiting classes and now that he has some legitimate coordinators they can put together some winning seasons. And you said being close to home is a positive for NU, are you fucking retarded, did u fail geography or something. U of I is a lot closer to chicago then Nebraska.
