  • sewing on dreadlocks?

that is without the strangest dreadlock-orientated thing i have ever heard in my life.

  • to be honest she shouldn't be giving tips on locks....if someone's locks look like a flock of birds got into a fight in their hair....they shouldn't give anyone advice....

  • @Remedy13 A person shouldn't get dreadlocks if their aim is for perfect (and healthy) hair. If they want that, they should just get braids or dreadfalls. I've realized recently that people who constantly "maintain" their dreads are doing more harm than good, and end up having really thin, damaged hair in the long run. Always poking and prodding instead of just leaving them alone. That's why I've decided that I'll use the patience method. But, that's just my opinion.

  • @Remedy13 Oh, also, what I meant with the "perfect (and healthy)" part, was that in the quest for perfectly uniform dreads, it usually breaks and withers away the actual hair itself, making them very fragile and casing them to break off. Or, in the case of wax, can make mold and just be a nightmare. Super healthy dreads are usually the ones that don't look perfect. That was just what I meant by that.

  • @SaiKoSeSu umm i have healthy hair (dreads) i make SURE of that. i've had my dreads for 2 years and they touch my shoulders now and the look (in my opinion) perfect...i get compliements where ever i go...i understand not everyting can be perfect, but it matter when something need to be attractive and appealing...

  • @Remedy13 O... kay? I wasn't saying *you* had unhealthy hair. I didn't even know you had dreads (I usually don't stalk profiles, lol). It's fine that you like your hair and want it to look perfect. It's your hair. But for dreads, in my opinion- as that's all this is about- I like natty dreads with less or zero maintenance better, because it's unique for every person. It's "theirs" so-to-speak. I'm not trying to get on bad terms or anything, even though your op was kinda rude. Anyway, that's all.

  • @SaiKoSeSu lets just agree to disagree. i like neat you like natty XD. truce?

  • @Remedy13 Indeed. Truce. *shakes hand*

  • wtf is that 0:15 ?!?!?

  • wow is that fattie a girl!?!?!?!

  • @asasa348 you're so respectful...

  • these dreadlock howtos are probably the worst videos i have seen on this channel!

sewing dreads looks like shit, better get yourself a

felt needle and learn how to use it!!!

it can be used to put loose hair to your dreads too!

and it can help to start forming dreadlocks!

if she had used one her dreads would not look that untended!!!

do yourself a favor and dont listen to this self-proclaimed "expert", most of the things she says are just completely WRONG !!!

  • Thank you for this informative video. I'm dreading my hair for the first time and I would have freaked if one of mine fill out. So I will remember to moisturize. :) and If one should fall out, nice to know I could sew it back in. Thanks again

  • anybody interested in what the vid is talking about, or more interested the fight over dread or locs, I'm just saying

  • wow, dread expert? very dumb i have had dreads for over 2 years. YOU NEVER LET THEM GET THAT DRY. there is nothin pretendin u from puttin natural oil mosturizer in your hair so it wontr break. i had a break when mine were short. then i got smart enough to start mosturizin them. havent had a break since. they still might get thin in some places tho, then u can make a knot over the thin spot and palm roll that spot.

  • you have to get a dread mist to keep it moisturized. that prevents breakage. They're not suppose to be dry and brittle

  • locs not my thing.I prefer to wear my hair loose.....

  • nobody gives a fuck

  • I can say what ever I want and you are not special ok.

  • actually, my mother tells me i'm quite special. my psychiatrists as well

  • No gives a damn what you say......

  • There is nothing to dread about locs. Please stop calling them dreadlocs. There called "LOCS". That term "Dreadlocks" is a racially degrating term used by whites in the context of "look at those dreadful locs" There nothing to dread about "locs". Jesus had hair of locs not hair of dread locs. Change the title please, uneducated people are watching, its sends the wrong message to a community who is still learning to be proud of itself.

  • I never heard this before because when people here talk about locs they always say dreadlocks.some white people like locs and i know of non white people who don't like locs so they are probably the ones who made the term dreadlocs.

  • well said

  • wuda moron the word dread has nothing to do with being black read anything on the Rastafarians n theyll tell you what it means to be dread....to be dread is to be pure and to be dread means to be like jesus beacuse yes jesus had dreadlocks

  • Ok guys, lets abolish the D-word now.

As a jamaican, i have always heard the term dreadlocs or locs, or the spagetti noodles hanging of a mans head, this conversation is irevelant to what the video is trying to portray. But then again, Jamacians are uneducated so they have no idea of what they are saying and understanding..Is that what you are trying to get at...If anything, your the one sending the wrong message but starting this nonsense..........

  • you are not well in your head mister

  • umm... Dreadlocks sounds rather empowering, first off.

i suspect very few people think the term is negative.

"locs" sounds soft as shite, and "dreadlocks" sounds majestic.

  • I'm so feeling this video, u go!!!

  • L0L........

  • i bet when one of your dreads break, you eat it. lets fuck.

  • thats so cruel yet so fucking funny

  • man i cant hear you in any of

your videos can you speak a little

    louder please.

  • my dreadlocks are not notting up in the middle of the dread. they are falling apart. i only had them for a week and i used wax. i started happening after i took a shower last night.

  • dreads are not specifically equal to jah morons.

the egiptians for example, the mayans had dreads.and they didn`t believe in jah :)

I`m an atheist.I don`t believe in jah or any other kind of sacred creation or creator. :)

but I dred people`s hair.and I`m planning to dread my hair too :)

    different cultures.

  • I hear you man, I have had natural dreadlocks for 6 years now and belive it or not there's always some prink who will cal you Bob Marley, I am not a Rasterfarian, and while I have respect for their beliefs, having dreads does not make you a Rasta!

Dreadlocks have been around since befor language was invented, usually worn by 'holy men' because of a lack of vanity, or as a sign of respect, and warriors for the added protection against blunt objects.... ...

Oh my that was a bit of a rant... ...

  • i recommend to prise Jah , First

then grow yur dreadlocks as a covenant between yu & the creator .

look thru yur bible at , number 6 , in genesis... why do yu wear locks is writtenn in the book of life .

  • cool :P use different colours each time xD

  • thanx for the vid i want to get dreads and this video was cool, waht tecnique do u recommend to get them done?

  • there is another video from expert village about it

  • thought i was vain for trying this, but be damned if i loose my 5th dread to breakage. After eight years, my dreads can't take the abuse of a hard hat without showing it :-(
