Good on you for adapting and overcoming! My dad just had one hand ( his left...other blown off long ago) and i made him a cuff to hold a pick and he was my guitar mentor...that dude could jam man
Tony Iommi lost his finger tips working with metal and went on to create metal. How ironic. You had an even bigger challenge to overcome, PLAYING UPSIDE DOWN! That's insane! Who cares about your hand. The music says it all.
Also, too bad about that music tech thing. My school's actually on it's way to cutting out our music tech class due to budget shit-- now our class is only for one period, 6 kids. Whatever though, I learn useful stuff from it. I enjoyed the how vlog thing, so go ahead and ramble out more of these sometime, I'll watch!
That's a shit excuse btw. I admit I procrastinate alot. I haven't practiced many instruments since I got my braces out. When I had my braces in I became a killer didge player, had it down, but then I got my braces out and I struggled like fuck to get good again. And banjo... I really should just practice my damn banjo.
Then because I had spent so much on a guitar, all I bought after that was some shitty old FAL Merlin Combo amp for almost nothing, and it always sounded wet and reverby, and hummed and buzzed and fed back easily. And I had a Boss DS-2 pedal that was always running out of battery. So I quit practicing 2 or 3 years ago. Now I'm working like fuck to get enough cash to buy some really good equip that I've researched alot. Hopefully it'll work out this time.
I'm a few years behind you. My excuse is this. When I first got into metal, it was speed metal, Metallica and that shit, and I fell in love with explorer guitars and got an ESP EX400, which I didn't see any need to change when I got into Lamb of God anyway, that had an unwieldy as fuck case and was a nightmare to get out in my small room, which sort of put me off practicing.
Much love! Release a stoner album!!

Benn Jordan, an electronic/IDM artist from here in the states, also plays his guitar upside down. You're not alone!

Lots of moments of wisdom in that rant. Sounds like you're on the right track—or at least on the way to it.
