You did some traveling to get those pictures. I recognized the ones from Rock Island (beautiful pics too), and you took some in Chattanooga and over in Polk County (Chilhowee). Very nice presentation!
Well, seeing that 95% were killed by smallpox, it wasn't really sensible for the Europeans to stay away. No doubt the Indians should have been treated MUCH better and treated as a sovereign nation and given reasonable treaties, but with only a small fraction of people it was historically inevitable for new people to move in.
...this makes me want to drive to tennesse right now. 8 hours from chicago isn't that bad lol

probably around Gatlinburg in the smoky mountains national park. ive been there several times it looks even better being there!
