i remember some years ago i had 4 Geckogeckos damn once the male bite me in my finger ....the full finger in his moulth he was crazy like shit

after some time he moved out lol ...4month later my savannah monitor found him under the TV desk ...alive and much bigger

every animal can be tame, some just need more time then others =) its alot to do with size for geckos on count there pretty small there just think your a threat it natural but once given time and much contact with a reptile there just over time accept that your not hostel and your just fuckin awesome that u dont charge em a bill for usin all the lights in the house =)

well i have 1 tokay and my brother has 5 we tamed ours in like a week it's that easy what i did was put ur hand in if they snap they won't actually bite slowly mover ur hand closer as you get closer he will open his mouth then go under his chin slowly and rub but also close his mouthys then try and stroke the topof his head then his back then pick him up then hold how u like and voila dun =] hope this helps keep doing this for like 2 da

hah, tokays are awesome. i see all these comments about how theyre never tame and when they are it takes years to tame them... i've had mine two weeks and it doesnt bite or bark anymore. youre gonna have bloody fingers for a few days, but with continuous handling they adjust and are relatively calm.

Dude didn't you know that tokay geckos have a nasty attitude?? And didn't you know that they have a powerful pitbull like bite of the gecko world!? Am soo glad that gecko didn't bite you coz i got bit many times in my country back in Philippine provinces. Wild types are soo aggressive, that if they bite, they won't let go of ur fingers unless you have to let go of him first. How do you make him or her soo tame like that?

see people if u love your tokays and respect and handle them well they show you kindness back. just dont give up cuz eventually they will love u back just as any animal would.

i don't think it's a matter of "love"  more trust. They loose the predator-prey instinct when that is not stimulated. also i should add it seems more common to have a tame tokay also be CBB (captive bred and born) than the standard wild caught. reptiles are very instinct driven animals. if you understand this it really helps in taming or calming them.

i guess it is more trust but if they don't like you its not as good of a human to animal bond. for example my leo i think loves me back as when i dont give him attention he waits or at night if im reading he makes a noise so i see him looking at me and will lick the glass when i look.

wow, be pretty carefull ther, tokay geckos can grow quite big actully, and most are very aggresive, and trust me ones they bite they do not want to let go, so be pretty careful
