  • We don't talk that fast... Do u lol I'm from madison

  • Id like to see them say some of our city names! There's a weather lady where I live who says Tellico tell-lick-oh. Instead of tell-ico.

  • Far better than the texans!! Good job! Weyauwega is pronounced; WHY-UH-WEE-GA. Crazy thing how those old indian names can really make things interesting.

  • You did better than TX. WI Represent!

  • Lmao he was stumped at oconomowoc. YEAH O-TOWN

  • Im from wisconsin... U didnt do too bad, except for waukesha and i didnt even.get the last town figured out! Lol

  • haha i live in oconomowoc

  • Everyone who doesn't live in Wisconsin pronounces Wisconsin wrong. lol

  • @elisebaby13 I completely agree.

  • Im from Wisconsin, but lived in TN most of my life, from Waukesha actually.. its "Wah keh sha", but say it really fast. In Tennessee I get a kick out of how 'ville' makes a vul sound... like Maryville becomes Mar vul.. bizarre

  • O-Con-O-Mo-Woc i live there

  • I like how he asks the camera if its right?

  • its funny i hav lived in wisconsin my whole life and i could pronounce half of these when i was like 6 Go Wisconsinites ^_^

  • @BlackOpsRush21 lol! I know! It's wild. Here in Tennesseewe have towns names like "Soddy Daisy" "Bucksnort" "Crossville" "baxter" "nameless" etc etc.... Obviously most of it has to do with our dialect. I love the culture differences though. You guys rock.

  • @jpence80 yeah the culture differences r awesome and i love it down south i hav a 3 sisters that live in texas and i go down there sometimes to visit. Its kinda different to hear them talk cause im used to fast talking and then down south ppl usually talk slower and use different words then we usually do, but we hav some easy city's and/or towns like "Green Bay" "Madison" and those kinds but ppl down south r awesome too. I think its funny how much accents r different

  • @jpence80 .... Nameless?! xD Bucksnort and Soddy Daisy are cool but.... Nameless? Lol, that's even crazier then Oconomowoc, lawl. =P

  • Did pretty well! With Waukesha, don't pronounce it WaukEEEEEsha. People up here pronounce it with more of a soft E.

  • I was raised in Chattanooga and I couldn't pronounce any of those cities haha

  • I live in Wisconsin and the nsow sucks...we had 8 months of winter this year, but you did pretty good...except two or three I dont even know what ones you are trying to say :p but good job!

  • you did good on most of them except for 2, oconomowoc you got wrong on the first try but you got it right the second time.

these are the 2 you got wrong

waukesha - wrong, the e is pronounced like "e", not like "ee"

weyauwega - wrong, its pronounced "way a wee ga"

  • you were so close to mukwonago i live there and all we do different is we put the accent in a different spot

  • you dis WAY better than the texans by a long shot! :)

  • I am from wisconsin and you did a pretty good job you beat the texans by a long shot

  • Dude, I've lived in Wisconsin 50 years and the snow SUCKS! You did so well with your pronunciation, I am going to make you an honorary Wisconsinite. Really, you did a great job.

  • @charliemotorcycle lol Thank you! Accent's are a crazy thing. I've gone over and over so many of these names and it just doesn't sound right coming from my Southern mouth! I get tickled.

  • @jpence80 You did better than some native wisconsin folk, for sure.

  • @charliemotorcycle I don't find the snow bad. I just get tired of winter when it enters the fifth and sixth month.

  • @Truth3w3 Haha, for sure! I totally agree.

  • I'm from Wisconsin. You did pretty good. Here's an easy pronunciation guide for the ones you got incorrect. These are all easy to pronounce. Waukesha (my home town) is pronounced: Wok-AH-shaw (people tend to to say Wok-EE-shaw) . Ashwaubenon is an easy one: Ash (like the cigarette ash not osh) Wah-bah-non. Weyauwega is prononuced: Why-ah-We-gah. Last is my favorite. It looks intimidating to some because of all the O's. Oconomowoc is pronounced: Oh-Kon-Oh-Mo-Wok. Hope this helps.

  • Pretty good man!

  • so cute (=

  • wau- keh- shaw :)

  • Pretty damn good! I'm in Racine, south of Milwaukee--Racine is just French! no Native American pronunciatin' there! Born and bred here, it's funny how we just pick up on the way to say the names. Peculiar to us that others find it difficult!

  • I live in Wisconsin and I've noticed that people from other states say certain words different like we say bag like bayg and everyone else says like bahhg. It's weird

  • as long as you are close we will know what place you're talking about. i don't think anyone from outside the state of wi can pronounce waukesha

  • its "wiss-con-sin" NOT "wizz-cahn-sen" lmao!(: good try, & i don't blame you. i from wisconsin & i can't even say some of the city names.

  • Us Wisconsinites RULE! ;)

  • I dont know who did better they both didnt do to bad

  • Now try "Lake Nebagamon," "Minong," "Chequamegon," and "Winneboujou." Good luck. :)

  • Haha. This is too cute :P I'm happy I grew up here and have those names just engrained in my mind!

  • @stoffboy haha! That's cool. We have town names like "Soddy-Daisy" "Bucksnort" "Nameless" "Greenbriar" "Hurricane Mills" lol!

  • Just moved from Wisconsin to Georgia. I do feel like I talk faster than everyone here. And I say Wisconsin different? I can't tell but they say I do. But you got more right than the Texan video :P

  • ITS CALLED WISCONSIN NOT WHISCONSIN... haha u said like 2 or 3 right.. and its o-conna-mo-walk...walk-a-shaw... Ma-non-am-ee falls.. ka-kon-a... ash-wab-a-non... ma-kwan-a-go... oh-conna-ma-walk...why-a-wee-ga... there ya go.. ther not really in order but... thats how u pernounce them....

  • lac vieux desert YEAH TRY IT SERIOUSLY GET BACk TO ME WITH THE VIDEO OF YOU TRYING TO PRONOUNCE THAT BAD BOY

  • you did very good. and consider that all of the city names u said were native american names which makes it harder. one that a lot of people butcher is "Butte des Morts" i would like to hear u try that one!

  • @ILoveMyFiero good sturgeon in that lake

  • Pretty good dude :)

  • I['m British I can say them all just fine :P

  • @TheFoxFan LUCKY! lol

  • Not bad! And heck, national reporters were slaughtering 'Waukesha' way worse than you back when it was in the news for flooding. (Stress is on the first syllable, btw- WAH-keh-shaw.)

  • Lol

  • not too shabby man! haha

  • You actually did a pretty good!!! Moved my boyfriend here from NC a week ago and I'm getting a pretty good laugh listening to him try to pronounce the cities here!!

  • lol

  • one note, Waukesha is pronounced like "walk-e-sha" lol

  • you listened.....obviously.

  • I'm from oconomowoc. Its pronounced oh con no mo walk. Its Indian for "where the rivers meet". We had a thing in the paper that said "one quick look into the choppy

Waves along the lake Michigan shore. Franky Filson hired a guide and began to explore. For four days and nights they headed west through forest of oak and maple trees. Then they came to the land of three lakes, and stood in water up to their knees "oh can no mo walk." the guide uttered so clear. "oconomowoc, what does that mean?" "

  • Oconomowoc is easy. An Indian Chief was moving his tribe and that's where he stopped and said "Oconomowoc" (I can no more walk)

  • @korling0219 Its actually A Coon no more walk, referring to raccoons.

  • i love his face before he says Oconomowoc

  • @melvoid1

I've heard that(: we have a café belwah here, it looks pretty stupid spelled like that so people know it's French :P

  • Beloit? Up here in Madison, we say bel-WAH.... to try to sound fancy.

  • @melvoid1 I've never heard anyone in Madison pronounce it that way, and I've lived here for nearly 10 years...

  • Okay I lol'd. Why is it no one can pronounce waukesha right? Think walk-eh-shaw!! (: any way I'm from Beloit, pretty easy, no? keep tryin dude, some were pretty far off. You accent made me giggle too xD it just sounds.... Different, like the country songs *shivers* :P

  • This is why the Oilers moved!

  • you beat the texans XD

  • OMG being from WI, I loved watching this, you got a couple of those right! lol

  • yay you got Mukwonago! there was an Indian story about this little boy named Muk who wanted to go somewhere with his dad and said MUK WANNA GO! -thats a good way to remember it :)

  • not too shabby ill help ya out...Waukesha -[walk-a-shaw] (it sounds like walk with out the L) Oconomowoc [O-Con-O-MO-walk] (sounds like walk with out the L kinda like WOK) and wyawega [Y-A-WE-GA]
